Due to the recent changes in the weather condition nowadays, people are more prone to catching the usual “Colds and Cough” . Unfortunately I also got myself a dose of this perennial virus. So anyway moving on, since I wasn’t quite my usual upbeat self Pat decided to visit me after work got done and then we headed out to try this new joint which recently opened in Burgos Circle called “Wrong Ramen”. According to him, people who are sick eventually felt better after sipping some hot soup like Chicken Broth.
I didn’t really know what to expect from this place, all I know of is that the owner of this new nook is also the founder and owner of “Pepper” . With the sudden advent of all the Ramen stalls here and there what makes this new place stand out from the rest of it’s competitors? What does it have or what is it’s competitive edge amongst the rest of all the Japanese Ramen places here now in the Metropolis.
The interiors were quite interesting and note worthy to say the least, the table tops were custom made with Bamboo and their Salt and Pepper containers came in an uncanny battery presentation. Coolness isn’t it? 🙂 Anyway, as I looked around I noticed that some of the photos or their display’s weren’t just right. Some of the images posted along their walls showed a Starbucks cup with noodles on the inside and their Rest room even had a display on the outside stating that it is “The Poop Room”.
They even have a dessert called “Poop of the Gods” Funny isn’t it? I do hope that the dessert didn’t come from the “Poop Room”. So going back, since we like to ask for the waiter’s recommendations for their best sellers we asked their staff on what kind of Ramen in their menu is garnering much talk. The waiter suggested that we try the “Tantanmen” and the “Tonkotsu”. I already tried the “Tantanmen” before from Ukkokei’s Tantanmen and it was such a treat! So I decided to try Wrong Ramen’s Tantanmen and see how it fares with their competitor.
I must say, the food did justice to the place, Why? Because it’s awesome! 🙂 The broth was really saturated with various toppings and the noodles were made with just the right consistency, not too overcooked. Compared to the various Ramen joints this one doesn’t really conform to what you call “The Healthy Ramen”. It’s not really a place for those who are “Diet Conscious” or those who are trying to lose some pounds. Their servings are a handful and one bowl is really oozing with toppings and the sesame broth is really good.
Eating good food really makes me happy especially if it’s good and the customer service is efficient. It makes you feel lighter or your stress quite relieved after a long day. I’m glad we tried this out. Thanks for introducing me to this place Babe! 🙂 It really made me feel better.
