Since my Birthday falls on a weekday and since I presumed that most of my friends wouldn’t be able to make it since it’s a working weekday I decided to hold it on a Saturday night instead with the girls.
K-pub or the Korean Pub (This new joint along the Fort) was the original option however due to budgetary constraints (The cost would be at 500 php per head and it’s a Meat all you can buffet but it is only valid for 1 hour) and also the number of hours we were to bond I opted for a more budget friendly venue. That alone, leads us to why we are here at Music 21 Jupiter Street.
We came in the designated venue an hour before 7pm since I was the host of the party, we waited for my friends to come and in the meantime we opted to check out the rooms on how spacious it would be and whether it can accommodate us all.
You need to have reservations made beforehand in case you’re hosting a party of more than 10 people, but since we were only 7 there was a room available for us even without reserving. There was also this Spin a wheel, wherein you can get a Free Drink or some other Freebies in case you get lucky. So “Good luck Spinning that Wheel, May the Odds be in your favor”
Anyways, they came in around 8ish since they came from the Fort and so begins our Videoke session. The songbook was kind of outdated, some recent songs that we wanted to belt out weren’t available on their song book. Also, the remote control gave us a hard time operating the Television. It was difficult to press and kind of overused and you had to do the song selection manually.
We ordered dinner already beforehand from the Menu since we were already getting hungry. We had the Music 21 Fried Chicken which amounted to 400 Pesos, A Sizzling Sisig with raw egg on top which costs 200 Php, A platter of Plain Rice which was around 200 again, Mango Shakes for the girls and Carlo and an Iced Tea for me.
We wanted to order dessert to cap off our meal but since there was only one sweet treat available in their Menu which was their Fruit platter which was around 450- 550 for the Regular and the Large size serving approximately. So, instead we ate the Chocolate Cake we brought in we just paid an additional 200.
Overall, it was a good night since the waiters were more than willing to take our photos and refill our glasses, clean up the table and offer other assistance to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We stayed there for about 2 hours more or less since my friends still had some other things to do the next day so after we bid farewell to each other and we settled the bill. I was more than happy because it fit my budget perfectly and we all went home with our gustatory cravings satiated.
PS. I do hope they update the songbook so that the next time we pay them a visit we have more songs to choose from and also their remote control and TV is so hard to operate, I also hope they do something to make it more user friendly rather than us constantly badgering the staff to help us operate on the machine.
