After watching the movie called Sex Tape we were starving already since it was kind of late already so we just charged my laptop somewhere, bought some necessities for home and then decided to have dinner somewhere nearby but also budget friendly.
(Thanks for thinking about my budgetary constraints Love)
To be honest, we had quite a hard time finding the place despite it being just behind Rockwell since we didn’t really explore into hole in the wall joints. We just heard this was a good place to eat and people were queueing up to be served. This joint is located at 5887 Fermina Street, Corner Enriquez Street, Kalayaan Avenue, Poblacion, Makati City to be specfic.
It’s best to ask around since the side streets are quite congested with cars and the streets are very narrow somewhat impassable sometimes. We asked around for directions from the residents nearby and they amicably navigated us to the venue.
We were ushered in immediately to our seats to the non smoking section inside since the smoking section was located along the streets. Our orders took some 15-20 minutes to be prepared to we just passed time by taking some shameless selfies and taking some photos of the place.
Pat had their best seller (T- Bone Steak) as he usually asks for the best seller in whatever restaurant we eat from meanwhile I was quite adamant in insisting that I have their Beef Salpicao for the main reason that I have always had a fancy for Beef Salpicao and Stroganoff. So I stuck it out with my choice despite Pat dissuading me to choose that since he wanted also the best seller for me.
We got served after 20 minutes give or take and the Beef Salpicao was amazing! 🙂 It can even be at par already with some fine dining restaurants. However, I wouldn’t say the same goes for Pat and his order. He told me that his T- Bone Steak was just so- so in it’s taste and from the taste of it since I took a morsel from his plate. He seemed right, the gravy was like that of Jollibee and it did not mix well with the T- Bone steak. (
Perhaps a more mushroomy plus cornstarchy gravy?).
I am no gravy expert but I firmly believe that the taste of the dish is greatly affected by its condiments in this case the dip. :D. We also ordered their bottomless Iced Tea to help us gulp down our food. Since we were eating a whole lot during the course of the day we decided not to have any dessert, maybe next time.
I decided also to use their restroom before leaving the place. The comfort room was very cozy, it seemed as if you were going to stay there for a long time since it was quite spacious and also had a rack of magazines beside the toilet seat also a carpet below the throne. 😀 hehe. However, there was no soap available at the time we visited so better be equipped with your hand sanitizer, wet wipes or alcogel.
(Good thing we always have one in tow).
The place was a good find, the prices were quite competitive. For my budget of less than a thousand bucks we were already satisfied and filled by the end of our meal which only cost me around 520 all in all. Another new find! 😀 (
Hep Hep Hooray! 😀 Whohoo!) Until out next food venture.
