Ever wanted to know about how men think and feel? And also what goes around in their conversations when they grab a couple of beers and drink the night away on a weekend? Well, About last night is the perfect movie for you since it actually gives you a heads up on how guys minds work and how they misconstrue some of our day to day acts and words as women who are more prone and known to be more emotional and subservient.
Here’s a quick trailer of the movie to get you going and to give you a brief background about it:
With a lot of events lining up my calendar for the past weeks or so I wasn’t able to attend to my blogging duties last week and because of that I will try to make up for it during my off days from work/ school. Yey! Thank you Lord for these days off wherein I can sit back, relax, pamper myself, watch some of my movies on my laptop and attend to various events while catching up on my blogging duties and readings.
I try to fill my calendar with as much activities as possible because as the saying goes “YOLO” or “You only live Once” and you should make the most of your youth trying to explore various cuisines, watching some feel good movies.
Anyway, moving on since P made it to the Dean’s list in Ateneo this Semester (Whohoo! Congrats! 🙂 Awesome job) and also since he recently came back from Singapore we headed out to find a good place to dine. We were supposed to go to Heat in Edsa Shangrila (The last time I ate here was during my graduation) it’s been quite a while already. However after scourging around the different plates and after knowing the price I did not pursue the idea of dining here that night and suggested a more budget friendly alternative instead. (It’s actually 2,500 per head so if you’re planning a romantic date night out with your lady love come in prepared with your cash).
I was given the privilege to be invited to try out their new services in their Skin Center last Monday September 22,2014 and since I had no work or school during that day I had the whole day free ahead of me. Yey! 😀
During my off days I try to be as productive as possible by catching up on my blogging duties, reading my books for school to avoid procrastination and the likes. I was informed during that day that I was to be part of a select group of bloggers to experience their services and write about it since they are upping up the ante and overhauling the management with the new CEO (the very voluptuous beauty enthusiast Ms. Michelle Acero). How cool is that? 😀
Since both our classes came to a close and since we wanted a good night cap before heading home we decided to eat to our heart’s content at Mamou. I have heard a lot of reviews about this place and my cousin even said that their steak was one of the best he has ever tasted so we wanted to try out the place and what they had to offer.
The waiter took notice that I was taking some photos of their Menu and he asked if I wanted a copy of their Menu. He was nice enough to hand me over a photocopied menu of their specialties so I wouldn’t have to contend with the hassle of taking various shots of their Menu. (Plus points for the service!).
I love weekend duty days since I can pull in a few more minutes of sleep due to the improved traffic conditions along the lanes of c5 and also since less people are out on the road in the wee hours of the early morning. I have a lot of back log with regards to the restaurants that I have gone along this week and the various food trips that I ventured into.
We first went off scouring the various stalls in the HoReCa festival last week in celebration of the Hotel, Restaurant and Catering event which promotes camaraderie and also which provides an avenue for the various businesses, catering joints, restaurants and hotels around the vicinity of Makati to plug and advertise their services and entice people to their stalls and avail of their packages and deals since their goal is to increase traffic and people coming in to their businesses to make Makati a rising district once again. 😀 Go Makati! 😀
I haven’t updated my blog for about 5 days already due to my continuous working days and also balancing this with some readings for school, jogging around the grounds of the Fort and mostly focusing on nourishing myself and becoming a better version of myself by reading some self help materials, opinion pages in the newspaper and also by being more conscious with the food that I intend to intake. I try to eat more healthier now by adding more of the greens, more fruits and less of the rice and carbohydrates in my meals.
After graduating from college I was quite perplexed as to what industry I should get myself into. Since nursing was the boom during that time most of my friends from High School pursued the medical field in the hopes of getting into greener pastures. Four years down the line: Welcome to 2014! 😀
How time flies right? The largest industry now that is garnering much attention from society is actually the BPO Industry! Who would have thought?
BPO which stands for Business Process Outsourcing is one of the major contributors nowadays in our GDP and also provides career opportunities and financial rewards to our peers and countrymen nowadays and will continue to do so in the coming years.
“Our mission to reach out to all BPO Workers–Call Center Agents, IT Professionals, HR practicioners — and educate the public that working in the BPO Industry can change lives and that we have already changed the economic landscape of the Philippines. ”
There’s a big event that is about to hit center stage this coming December 13,2014 at the Newport Hotel in Resorts World Manila which is entitled the “BPO Choice Awards” (applause and drum roll please) 😀
After our classes came to a close I decided to wait it out for a few minutes until P also finished off his class since he is already in his final stretch of his MBA and is now working on his Term Paper while I had just finished off an educational learning session on Human Resources and Management wherein our Professor tasked us to read and peruse a couple of chapters in the bulky book. (Ah the life of a student!) haha. 😀
To be young, wild and free and just enjoy the frolic of the youth is one of the best gifts anyone can have and treasure. Don’t you think so too?
If only I can go back to being 18 again then that would be nothing short of AWESOME! 🙂 However, with age also comes maturity and wisdom in a way. We cannot always be frivolous and just living our lives without a clear and defined purpose. Sometimes, as much as we want to stay trapped in this youthful glory of ours like Peter Pan we have to learn life long lessons and be a better person in the end.
So anyway, moving forward with this blog post we would like to thank our client Ms. Rona for choosing us Photo booth Masters to cover her daughter’s very posh and sassy Victoria’s Secret inspired event. Her change of gowns were very classy and sleek which even came in with some wings like those from the Victoria’s Secret Angel’s fashion show which garnered loud cheers and hoots from the crowd.
A Starbucks stall was even positioned at the end of the hallway wherein the guests can have a dose of their regular caffeine fix or their favorite frapuccino for the young ones. The hallway was adorned also with an ark and a red carpet where the caterers were also placed alongside the photo booth and also placed in line was the event’s organizers table.
“A moment like this
Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this
Some people search forever for that one special kiss
Oh, I can’t believe it’s happening to me
Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this”
These lines from Kelly Clarkson’s hit single “A Moment like This” remind me of a very talented artist who worked hard, trained hard and is now reaching for the stars and her dreams one musical concert at a time. Check out Emmanuel Ada’s Concert happening on the 25th of September 2014 (Thursday) at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati alongside the Philippine Madrigal Singers.
