Looking for a chill out place to unwind, sit back and relax while having some good beers and enjoying a good conversation with your friends? Well look no more because Rue Bourbon is upping up it’s ante by updating their Menu and having a new promo which entails the use of “beads”.
“Beads?” You may wonder. Yes! You got that right! Beads! 😀 Listen up closely guys out there who are on the search for the girl of their dreams or who want to talk to that pretty lady in the club but are quite coy to do so. Instead of sending them a beer or buying them a drink. You can purchase them beaded necklaces coming in a variety of colors (blue, silver, gold, pink 😀 Take your pick) worth 150 bucks and have them delivered by their amicable food servers to the lady that caught your fancy! 😀
She can wear them the whole night for “bragging rights” or she can get to know you better by probably giving you the go signal to chat her up just like in Tinder where you both swipe to the right meaning you’ve got a match! 🙂 (Ding, Ding, Ding!) or she can bring them in again on her next visit and exchange them for a beer/ drink of her choice. This is actually a big hit in their Tagaytay branch! Ain’t it awesome! 😀 So what are you waiting for boys and girls? Grab those beads and get this party started! 😀
I will also share here my Rue Bourbon experience for the night that was surely one for the books! 😀 Thank you for the invite! 😀 Since I had class I just followed to the venue which was in Eastwood City Walk Libis along the other drinking pubs within the vicinity of the place. The waitress asked me if I was one of the bloggers and when I confirmed she immediately ushered me and P to their second floor deck where all the other food bloggers were seating having a good laugh and consuming their oh so yummy meals and beers. The waiters were all donned in black and were wearing those beads and their faces were hidden in masks which added some mystique and piqued up our curiosity during the course of the night.
Since P and I always order set meals or a full course meal whenever we dine out and since we wanted to savor the various types of dishes we consented on doing the same for this pub so here’s how it all went down:
We had their Clams and Shrimp chowder (160) for our starter, then had their Spicy Sausage &Mushroom (380) for our appetizer (I asked if they can make this dish a little less spicy since I had ulcer and too much spiciness can aggravate my condition. Good thing they were nice enough to customize their dish and make it less spicy for me). Yay! 😀
Then for the Main dish P had their BBQ Ribs (350) and I had their Roast Beef with Hash Browns (365) . I also had their signature original Lemon Margarita and P just had a coke since he didn’t really feel like having any alcoholic drinks for the night. (Hey one of us had to be sober since we were still going to drive back home). Thanks P! 😀
So moving on, Their Chowder was really creamy and they were generous with the bacon bits, potatoes, shrimps and clams. I gobbled everything up in a jiffy! It also got me excited to the next dishes that we were about to be served. Serving time took around 10-15 minutes only! 😀 and their food servers were really helpful and attentive too! 😉 They even recommended some of their best sellers to us and had us sample their Patron which came in a chocolate flavor! (Bottoms up!) They were having it auctioned for the night instead of it’s regular price of 4,500 bucks it can be availed at just 900. It even got me singing (I’m on Patron Tequila and sipping Margarita!) okay enough about my bad singing voice. 😀 Their Spicy Sausage and Mushroom which was less spicy for me. (Yey!) were garnished with some pepper and were kind of sweet to taste while the flavors were bustling in your mouth. Good find!
For the Main Dishes, Their Roast Beef came in with some green and red bell peppers, some bread pieces and some hash browns. The beef was well roasted since it was soft to munch on and my gustatory senses were excited all the more due to this appetizing taste 😀 Also their BBQ Ribs which P had and I had a taste of came in a sweet and sour flavor and was generously lavished in their signature BBQ sauce this also came in with some red rice which was a good mixture since it neutralized the sweet and sour flavor of the viand. It also came in with mixed peas, corn and carrots.
Come 10pm, we were escorted to watch the bartending show downstairs where their waiter showcased his talent for concocting amazing cocktails and drinks and even engaged one customer to take a sip of his masterpiece with the flames! 😀
Overall, it was a great experience! Very casual, laid back and relaxing! 🙂 Just the place I want to be on a Friday night out! 😀 Cheers to the freaking weekend!:D Bottoms up everyone! 😀
