Food Review: Mamou

Since both our classes came to a close and since we wanted a good night cap before heading home we decided to eat to our heart’s content at Mamou. I have heard a lot of reviews about this place and my cousin even said that their steak was one of the best he has ever tasted so we wanted to try out the place and what they had to offer.

The waiter took notice that I was taking some photos of their Menu and he asked if I wanted a copy of their Menu. He was nice enough to hand me over a photocopied menu of their specialties so I wouldn’t have to contend with the hassle of taking various shots of their Menu. (Plus points for the service!).

Since we already had lunch earlier at Mary Grace and had a hearty meal we just decided to do away with the appetizers and just head straight to their Main Course. Next time we will surely try their mouth watering appetizers to get our gustatory sensations up and running. Here’s a low down of what we had for dinner:

This place is definitely one for the books! πŸ˜€ Great service since our food came in about 10-15 minutes only of waiting and the waiter was amicable and attentive to our needs. He was even harping about their best sellers and his recommendations in their Menu. Also their sinigang despite it coming in a tomato based form was not lacking in taste and had the right kick in it. It was sour and tangy in the right way, also the pork was very soft and tender to masticate and munch on.

The porn and chicken were quite salty to taste though maybe too much of cooking or roasting? But it encapsulated the taste quite well. I finished up my plate in a jiffy. Also their spinach bore an uncanny resemblance to our native kang kong but the taste of the dish was put together quite well.

Great find for a great night!
