A Story on Why Love is always accompanied by Madness

A long time ago, before the world was created and humans set foot on it for the first time virtues and vices floated around and were bored, not knowing what to do.

One day, all the vices and virtues were gathered together and were more bored than ever. Suddenly, Indigenous came up with an idea:Let’s play hide and seek.”

Ways to tell if your guy is Wonderful

(Disclaimer: This was a post I wrote before on my Facebook account about 2 years ago. This is not meant to generalize all the men out there but this is just based on the authors personal opinion. Just wanted to share this here ).

Find someone who completes your every sentence

Who anticipates what you need and laughs at your jokes no matter how corny they may seem

Who stays up with you till the wee hours of the morning just so you and him can chat on the phone

Who will hold and kiss your hand and whisper to your ear how much you mean to him

Who will take pains to fetch you and bring you back to your place just to see you safe and sound

Who will put his heart out on his sleeve when you tend to break loose and let go

Who will buy you food and carry your heavy bag just to cater to your demands

Who texts you every now and then just to see if you’re okay

Who introduces you to his family and will be  proud to show you off

Who will recognize your authenticity, idiosyncrasies and childish ways but still manages to love you despite it all

Who deals with your incessant mood swings and hysterics

Who will renounce everything for you because that’s how worth it you are

Who admits to the whole world how much he loves you.

And most of all..

Find a guy who will love you at your worst, be your confidant and who will defend you against all odds because you know that he will always be by your side no matter what.

Learning the Difference between Holding on and Letting Go

There is a fine line between Learning the difference of Holding on and Letting go 😀

When to hold on..

When you are in a quandary as to whether to hold on or to let go,

analyze the situation you are in very carefully, very subjectively.

Use your mind and not your heart to evaluate the pros and cons of either decision.

Realize that your feelings and emotions can color your thoughts,

and you might end up making the wrong choice.

If you still see a glimmer of promise that it (the relationship or the situation you are in) can still work out,

then by all means, try your best to make it happen.

Sometimes we give up too easily without putting a fight.

There is really no easy way to live life;

you have to negotiate the hurdles in order to win the gold.

As they say, try and try until you succeed.

when to let go…

On the other hand,

you should be able to put your foot down and say,

“Enough is enough!” and disentangle yourself from the web of suffering and indecision before you reach the point of no return.

So, how can you tell when it is the time to let go?

It’s time to quit when the hurting is too much.

When your health (both mental and physical) is at stake.

When the disadvantages far outweigh the advantages.

When it dawns on you that it is a love that cannot be.

When you feel unneeded, unappreciated, unwanted, unloved.

When you start to feel chronically negative and ugly, and in fact are looking ugly.

When dark emotions of self-destruction or vengeance start to darken and harden your heart.

When you feel horribly bitter about life.

And when you feel it is a win-win situation for all, most especially for you, to call it quits.

So now after perusing over this,

I hope I was able to shed a little light on those jaded thoughts lingering in your mind 😀

just keep in mind that whatever you choose, choose for the better 😀

The Questions that Linger

This was a post I wrote way, way back last August 29, 2010 roughly around 4 years ago. It only goes to show that even from before I always had this flair for writing. 🙂

Why do we love

but are rarely ever loved in return?

Why do we look for truth – is it lost or are we?

Why is one lie enough to forget how good a person once has been?

Why is it that when we do our best, the worst always comes out?

Why do we seek for revenge rather than forgive and let bygones be bygones?

Why do we repent for our sins but never really change at all?

What is the sound of just one hand clapping on its own?

What is more tragic: losing or gaining your heart’s desire?

How can you tell that it’s over but you can’t move on?

How do you conceal your pain with a smile while crying?

How do you know when to still and hold on and when to already let go?

How can you forget the only person you wish to remember for the rest of your life?

Who are you if you have lost what you had?

Is it right when nothing is wrong or is it wrong when nothing is right?

Because life is not only based on the answers we receive. But more often than not, on the questions we ask (Though these are almost always left hanging).

My Slimtone Experience at the Belmere Branch in Alabang

“Take some time to relax, rejuvenate and restore. That is what Belmere is for. Belmere soothes away the stress,as it enhances the beautiful self. Belmere is a haven for those who love beauty. Let your beautiful you shine at Belmere Skin Centre.”

Yesterday was a very eventful day! 😀 Not only was it the blessing, opening and inauguration of the Belmere Branch in Alabang. They also introduced their new pride called their “Venus Freeze”.  Their concept is all about taking care of ourselves more. Loving the skin you’re in and at the same time bonding with your family while you beautify yourself.

Bonding? You may ask. Yes! You heard me right bonding! 🙂 Belmere isn’t really limited to women or mothers anymore because it also offers it’s very enticing services and packages for the whole family to love and avail of. Your husband can have a whole body massage while you have your Venus Freeze and your body sculpt treatments done.

This is definitely a great way to have fun with your family while you’re getting yourself pampered.

Celebrating Bonifacio Day the BGC Way! BGC Passionfest 2014!

November is Bonifacio Month! 🙂 Since one of our highly esteemed and courageous national heroes is to be remembered this month. Who is it? You may ask? Well my dear, it’s non less than Andres Bonifacio who braved the Spanish colonial rule and started out the KKK fighting for our freedom and democracy against the shackles that these Spaniards tried to pin on us. (Shout out to the Filipino People!)

I love the Fort!! 🙂 Not only does it boast of rich establishments which will surely tinker your fancy but also it offers a wide array of services and awesome food stalls and joints wherein you can just drink some beers and have a good laugh with your buddies on a Friday night out. The lush green parks are also a place to jog and leisurely walk around the place when you want to release all those pent up stress from the daily grind of your workplace and your life.

BGC now converts the typical fun run into  a fast paced city wide puzzle where BGC holds the pieces. Teams for RUN BGC 2014: Urban Adventure have to solve mind boggling clues, tackle exciting challenges and play to win for amazing loots and prizes!! (Now tell me who wouldn’t love that?).

One Family at the Cottolengo Filipino

Yesterday was a day worth remembering and will truly be one for the books 😀 I did not only get to make other people smile by helping out, volunteering my time and effort but also learned a lot in the process and I would forever be thankful for allowing me to have this experience.
I did not think much as to what would happen during the course of the day yesterday since I lacked sleep the previous night, My Mom just told me to be up and ready by 5am since we would be embarking to an outreach activity in the hills of Tanay Rizal. I thought it would just be another outreach (You know, the usual drill like when you help build houses for the downtrodden facets of society, or you help and interact with those old, retired and forgotten grandparents in the Golden Acres, or you go to the slums and dole out some goods to help out the flood victims.) But, I was wrong.

Movie Review: The Host

Can lost souls really peacefully co-exist with us humans? 😀 Well then, this is the novel turned movie for you to watch! 😀 For those science fiction fans out there welcome this novel by Stephanie Meyer with open eyes, arms and minds. 😀

You heard me right, Stephanie Meyer the author of the much esteemed and highly popular Twilight saga which I read all those books led me also to read this novel from cover to cover before heading out to watch it in the cinemas.

I seemingly forgot what I thought of the movie since it has almost been a year since it went viral on the movie screens but when I refreshed my memory by watching it again a while ago I decided to make a write up about it. For those who need a little polishing on the story line here’s a trailer of the movie. 😀 Enjoy!
