My Blogapalooza 2014 Experience

We love meeting new people, going to events, trying out something new which will widen our horizons and broaden our perspectives, tasting various dishes and making new friends from all facets of life. Due to this what better way to spend my Saturday than by attending the much anticipated and awaited by invite only Blogapalooza 2014 held at the SMX SM Aura Convention Center yesterday at October 11,2014.

Since I am quite new to the blogging industry and have just been blogging for the past few months or so I was quite overwhelmed and really happy with the turnaround of everything that has been happening as of late for me πŸ˜€ I have been invited to a lot of events, product launches, TV Studio sets, cooking demonstrations, food tasting and by other companies which have yet to hit the consumer market or brands holding out some events who want to increase their scope of influence. Best of all?Β  I get to do what I love to do best which is writing and blogging! πŸ™‚ Yey! πŸ™‚ How cool is that? πŸ˜€

Anyway, since I’m veering off topic here let me put things into perspective first by expressing my gratitude to When in Manila and also to Mr. Anton of Our Awesome Planet who organized this awesome and eventful Blogapalooza yesterday! πŸ˜€

So what really is this event? You may ask and wonder? Well, ask no more because I will give you a brief run down of the event and what it entails. This is an excerpt from their website. For more details click here.

Blogapalooza is a community. It’s a link between big and small businesses who have something cool to share and the online community of people who love to share. Blogapalooza is a blogger event on crack! Lots of giveaways for the bloggers and online community and a chance for big and small businesses to present their product / brand / thingamajig to hundreds of influential bloggers and online social media influencers”

So moving along, Bloggers are supposed to pre-register on their site weeks before the said event. I didn’t quite catch on the nitty gritty of the full mechanics so I thought I could register the two of us (Me and P) for one website only since both of us are handling this blog well since it was actually our brainchild to come up with a website to document our travels, food explorations and other things that we embark on a daily basis. (Sorry!! :()Anyway, to cut the long story short he became my plus one to the event since all bloggers are entitled to bring one person to the said event and we were just given one ID :(.

By the way, P is also a blogger however he blogs more about technical stuff and product reviews of gadgets that he recently purchased or had already experienced in handling. To get a general idea of what I’m talking about please do check out and visit his blog site at The Bottom Line.

The event started off at around 10am and was supposed to end at around 9pm however since we also had to head off to mass at around 7:30pm we weren’t able to finish off the whole event.

We came in a little after lunch and started heading off to the booths which piqued our interest like the View Park hotel in Tagaytay wherein we had our photo taken and were also given a loot bag and also a shirt! πŸ˜€ How cool is that for our first booth? πŸ˜€ View park hotel is where memories are made since it’s over looking the city and also offers a quick escape from the daily stress and grind of the bustling metropolis. I will definitely try this out soon! πŸ˜€

Also next in line was the Krispy Kreme booth wherein P and I got to experience making our own hand made donuts which we dabbled with sprinkles and soaked in some sweet and very delectable chocolate! πŸ˜€ Definitely a must try! We were also handed out some paper caps and a balloon to complete our Krispy Kreme experience.

Thanks Krispy Kreme! :D P played with the sweet frosting on his donut by making out our names in his delectable treat! :D

I also got to meet a cute chick mascot of Max chicken πŸ™‚ Whohoo πŸ™‚ Who then gave me a much coveted limited edition Gilas Tumbler after having a photo session with him.

Thanks for my Tumbler! Max:D

Then afterwards we ventured out into the Ace Water Spa booth wherein they gave me a mug after playing their game and then gave me also a couple of Gift Certificates after participating in their games! πŸ˜€ They even accorded me a free KTV session in their place! πŸ˜€ How cool is that? I will definitely try this out with my friends and will blog about my experience there which I am sure will be awesome! πŸ˜€

Some booths were also present in the event for an advocacy and were pushing for a cause to help out the typhoon victims like this booth πŸ˜€

Please help out guys :D

I would definitely help out in their cause since we should also give back to society after all the blessings we have been accorded to right? πŸ˜€ It’s good that people want to help out our ailing brothers from the downtrodden facets of society to give them hope and a better chance of survival in this very competitive world.

Other celebrities like Maxene Magalona, Michelle Gumabao and well known bloggers and You Tubers also graced the event with their presence.

Zomato made me spin their wheel of fortune and then led me to do their dare which was to have a photo with one of their staff. Then they gave me aΒ  free t- shirt afterwards. Tadadada πŸ˜€

Hello Zomato!
Hello Zomato!

Flawless models made me pop some balloons via the use of darts. Since I wasn’t very keen on playing darts P played the game for me and won me some anti- aging serums and an eye cream which my Mom definitely loved and immediately had dibs on upon seeing my loot! πŸ˜€ hehe.

Models and promo girls made the event more interesting and fun filled since everyone was so interactive and accommodating during the event. I even bumped into my friend Luigi there while giving out a talk about how their vacuums were the best ;D

I also played an interactive game of Mystery with their Mime and also tried my luck in unlocking their locks in their chained wall in one minute. Good thing I was able to unlock the padlock and won myself a prize! πŸ˜€ Yey!! πŸ˜€

Sample Room also gave me some free samples of their products and also made me register to their site. I have yet to try it out. Jergens ran out of lotions to dole away when we got to their booth but promised to mail me some of their samples once I participate in their 7 day challenge. πŸ˜€

Chef Noodles, Niu by Vikings, Yellow Cab, House of Lasagna, Chips Ahoy and Krispy Kreme also had their own respective booths in the venue which had us taste some of their sample signature dishes and recipes. πŸ™‚

Ah!
Ah!

I just wished the event had a staple supply of water during the course of the event since we were quite parched from going around the booths and taste testing some samples πŸ˜€

The place was spacious enough for us to navigate our way around the complex and everyone was amicable during the course of the Blogapalooza. Thank you for this event wherein we got to talk to various brands and companies and I got to know more about their products and what they had to offer the consumer market. This event really got me excited since we had a one on one session with their PR specialists and Marketing Officers which gave us some details about why their brand is competitive and gave us a run through of their services. Such a vast amount of learning incurred during a day! πŸ˜€ Definitely worth my Saturday! πŸ˜€
