Dance United 2014 coming up! πŸ˜€

I used to join some fun runs before and still do run along the lush grounds of the Fort or sometimes during weekends along the greener areas and sidewalks of UP when I have the time.Β  I love how running makes me feel so alive! πŸ™‚ I can just feel my heart pumping harder and louder in my chest, my breathing getting faster, my nerves getting all jittery and excitedΒ  with the increased adrenalin rush through my veins and my whole body coming alive and just grooving to the music as I listen to some songs in my headphones.

So what really is this event all about? Well fear no more because I will give you a brief background on this event and what it holds for you guys if you were to attend this festive occasion.

Last year around November 8,2013Β  the country was hit with one of the most nerve wrecking typhoons called “Haiyan” or Yolanda which caused a lot of havoc to the lives of dearly beloved countrymen. Homes, properties and a lot of personal belongings were shattered and were flushed along with the strong currents. Lives were all in a constant disarray. But as they say, never give up right? Because the Filipino people is resilient and because we are waterproof! πŸ˜› Hahah.

So slowly but surely they have began to rebuild their lives once again but it still wasn’t enough so now they are asking for your help by joining this event and helping out for a cause while having fun at the same time.

Food for the Hungry Philippines and Lifeline Foundation Inc teamed up and is inviting everyone from all walks of life to come and join them in this 4 hour dance marathon for a cause billed as Dance Unite 2014! Let’s celebrate the Filipino spirit that never gives up hope and keeps on fighting despite all the calamities and tragedies that have struck them.

The goal is to come up with over 3,000 participants! πŸ™‚ So what are you waiting for? Dance your way to the Quirino Grandstand this coming November 22,2014 at 5-9pm. Proceeds would benefit the various livelihood, education and empowerment initiatives of Food for the Hungry Philippines and Lifeline Foundation Support Team Inc in the Western Visayas.
