Movie Review: John Wick

It has been a crazy fun filled week for me this past week and since I was busy for the past few days since I was on duty for the whole week. I will catch up on my blogging duties today since today is my rest day! πŸ™‚ Whohoo! πŸ™‚ Finally! πŸ™‚ Time to catch up on my much well deserved “zzz’s”,Β  hit the sack and succumb into a deep slumber to re energize. πŸ™‚

So without further ado, let me start off my slew of over due blog posts for this week with a movie review. Yes! πŸ™‚ You read me right, another movie review! πŸ™‚ Because what better way to unwind and relax than watching a full blown action packed story which will keep you glued to your seats and definitely keep you on the edge anticipating every clever move that they would execute along the course of the two hour movie.

To be honest, I wasn’t really that enthused when I heard of this movie unlike other new and upcoming movies which were made into books that I have read before. All my hesitations probably stemmed from this “uncertainty” sinceΒ  I did not have any idea as what to expect from this film.

I just knew that Keanu Reeves would be the Main Protagonist and that this would be an adrenalin fueled movie due to it’s action packed scenes.

P wanted to watch it so despite my hesitations I decided to concede and watch the movie with P πŸ˜€ To catch a general idea of what I’m talking about. I attached here in this blog post a trailer of the movie. Enjoy!

John Wick is definitely a must watch! πŸ™‚ The scenes transports us into the underworld that exists mainly dominated by assassins, vixens and mafia dealings! πŸ™‚ .

John Wick (Keanu Reeves) a retired, legendary hit man thought he escaped from thisΒ  kind of life when he finally decided to settle down to live a “normal” life with his wife who later on succumbed to an untimely death brought about by cancer.

But before passing on, she left him with a dog to serve as his companion to compensate for his loss. This was the only remembrance she left of her for him so he treasured this little puppy deeply. Time would have healed all wounds if it wasn’t for the arrogance of Josef Tarason (A young Russian mob prince) who thought he could do away with anything and get everything he wanted at a price. (Spoiled brat right there!).

An altercation between the two parties ensure at a gas station which later on leaves John grieving for the loss of another life, this time around it was his puppy and also his car. Josef now, bearing again that smug attitude has no idea who he has wronged but his Dad Viggo takes all the necessary precautions to bring John Wick down since he knows what kind of maelstrom would befall their family due to this untoward incident.

Guns skills and a lot of self defense action scenes were prevalent along the course of the movie. We were kept glued to our seats the whole time since I was anticipating how all the scenes would come into play and eventually pan out. This movie will definitely get your adrenalin kicking and pulsing through your veins as you watch how the scenes unfold.

Definitely a come back movie for Keanu Reeves with his stellar discipline in executing those stunts alongside Viggo’s deadpan yet seemingly conniving attitude this movie will take you to their underground dealings and affect your emotions along the way.

I would not be too much of a spoiler here since you have to see the movie for yourself to be the judge on how it fares and comes to a close. Enjoy!
