Trek, the largest bicycle brand in the world, breaks new ground in the Philippines with the launch of the first Trek Bicycle Store in the country.
Located at Two Parkade along 30th Avenue in Bonifacio Global City, the full-service bicycle store promises a premium retail experience that showcases Trek’s extensive product lines, while championing the cycling lifestyle. Road, mountain, triathlon, women’s, kids and city bikes are well represented in the store, with accessories andapparel to match, courtesy of Trek’s very own Bontrager brand.
I was fortunate to be invited as one of their Media Partners to the ribbon cutting and opening of their new flagship store last week and I witnessed first hand how their top quality product lines and athletic gear really has something big to offer our triathletes and high esteemed cyclists and fitness enthusiasts. I also met the legendary Gary Fisher the visionary who invented the high quality mountain bikes we use nowadays and loads of awesome and breath taking products were up for grabs during this event which definitely kept my adrenalin pumping during the course of the event. 🙂
The store features Trek’s Project One customization program, allowing visitors to design their bespoke Trek bike. From paint schemes that vary from mild to wild, to parts selection, Project One puts your dream bike just a click away. What makes them different from their competitors is their utmost commitment to cater to their customers wants and requests with regards to their biking apparel. They customize your bikes to suit your needs and requests. Now that’s what I call customer focus.
To help customers select a bike that fits them best, be it a production model or from Project One, the store offers Trek’s Precision Fit service, a proprietary bike-fit system that measures not just the rider’s dimensions, but also evaluates their efficiency as they pedal on a stationary, computerized bicycle.
The Trek Bicycle Store sets new standards in bicycle retail by providing a fun, welcoming environment that pairs the best bikes with the best service, becoming the hub for Manila’s passionate cycling community.
About Trek Bikes
The Trek Bicycle Corporation is a global leader in the design and manufacture of bicycles and related products. Trek believes the bicycle can be a simple solution to many of the world’s most complex problems like the traffic gridlock we experience on our daily commute to work ( I can personally testify to this) , and is committed to breaking down the barriers that prevent people from using bicycles more often for transportation,
recreation, and inspiration.
Trek was founded in 1976, in Waterloo, Wisconsin. To date, it has close to 2,000 employees and has a yearly revenue of more than $800 million. The company has 1,700 dealers across North America, and is distributed in 90 countries worldwide including the Philippines.
The Trek brand is built on five brand pillars:
Born in a barn. Trek was started by two partners in a Wisonsin barn who shared a dream of building the best bikes in the world. It was a culture of craftsmanship, where every bicycle built was a point of pride.
Raised on rocket science. Performance is invented at Trek. There’s no group of people in the world more dedicated to refining and redefining the experience of riding a bicycle.
Raced to win. Trek’s professional racers are its most demanding customers, and the company has learned from each and every one of them, making every Trek better in the process.
Warrantied for life. Trek builds its bikes to last, subjecting them to brutal punishment in the world’s toughest test lab. Every Trek is backed by the best lifetime warranty in the business – even those first frames built in 1976.
Loved the world over. Millions of people ride Trek bikes, in hundreds of countries around the world. Getting more people on bikes more often makes the world happier and healthier. It is Trek’s business, passion, and mission.
