I love weddings! 🙂 Not only because we get to pretty ourselves up by wearing these tailor made dresses for us but also since we are to bear witness to the marital union of our friends and beloved love birds who decided to tie the knot in front of God to face life together as partners and as one unit.

Yesterday was the wedding of one of my closest friends from work France. We all had doubts as to whether it would pursue due to the unpredictable weather and with the recent news flashes on our television screens warning us of the upcoming super typhoon coined by the name Ruby which was to make it’s landfall either yesterday or today. Since it was a garden wedding we crossed our fingers and prayed to God that he would spare us the heavy downpour until the ceremony comes to a close. Good thing they were blessed and loved because it did not even rain not one single drop and the skies were as clear as blue and white. Thank you Lord!
I almost thought I would not make it to the entourage walk since it was super traffic and we were trapped in the unmoving traffic gridlock. Good thing things started off a little late as from the originally planned 4pm. The wedding started at around 4:30.
Cannon in C was her bridal march song and when she entered the venue with her immaculate white gown and her hair in an up do like Imelda. She was like a doll! 🙂 Butterflies were released as she took her steps down the aisle towards the man of her dreams. The ceremony was light and peaceful just like how the usual wedding would go about however the difference lies in some aspects of the ceremony as compared to the usual church wedding celebrated by us Catholics.
A couple of singers accompanied by a string quartet serenaded us with their sweet vocals and tunes throughout the whole ceremony. They closed in on the ceremony after signing their marriage certificates and sealing it with a kiss. Their reception followed suit afterwards and they did their obligatory first dance as a couple as they slowly made their way through the center stage where they were supposed to be seated.

Photos with the parents from both sides were soon being executed along with some photos of the bridesmaids and the groomsmen. Their souvenirs were cupcakes baked specially for them by our friend Jr who also worked with them in the kitchen before 🙂 We danced the night away and took photos with the jovial newly weds as they were purely floating on 7th heaven based from the smiles plastered on their faces.

Love was really in the air during the course of the night and I even gave a bridesmaid speech since I was the only bridesmaid that wasn’t a relative of the bride/ groom. I was touched by what Ken (The Groom) said that when he asked his lovely bride “France” who her closest friend was she mentioned me since he said that she’s kind of reserved and keeps only a few true friends. 🙂 Thanks dear for considering me to be part of your special day. Congratulations again as you face another chapter in your lives together.

This is the start of your happy ever after since both of you guys were meant to be. Both of you married and ended up with your dream partner 🙂
