Since my Mom will be away in Hong Kong on the day of my grandmothers actual natal day we decided to all gather yesterday at my cousin’s place with her retired group of friends to celebrate her birthday in advance and also to get together again as a family since were all quite busy these past few days that we rarely catch up on each others lives.
Good thing that I was off from work and I was able to drive my grand mother and our maid to the venue ahead of time before her guests arrived. A vast array of dishes were all set along the dining table and our uncle toured us along their newly constructed rooms in their home.

A lot pf photo ops happened along the way as my uncle a photography enthusiast by heart kept on snapping here and there photos of us and my grandmother’s guests during the course of the whole gathering. We may not always see eye to eye at times but despite all of these we still love our grandmother the same and were lucky that she is still with us to guide us in our life choices and bear witness to us living out our dreams.

Our tummies were filled to the brim and her guests all went home happy with smiles plastered on their faces. Songs and endless chattering were the center of their gathering and they even played some card games with a little price for motivation. They may be aged, gray and wrinkled and probably a few of them already passed on that’s why they weren’t complete yesterday but despite all of these constraints what amazes me is that they still keep their communication lines open and still look forward to attending these functions after all these years. Truly friendship knows no boundaries.
