A lot of changes will be happening to me this coming 2015 not only in my career, in my blogging life and my eating habits but also in other aspects of my life. That’s a good thing right? Well yeah, I guess because the only way to grow is to be open to various changes and accept the opportunities that come your way right?
Anyway, sorry for not having the luxury of time to update my blog as frequently as before. I have just been preoccupied with a lot of things as of late and due to the holiday season a lot of things had also been going around for me. Not that I’m complaining though 🙂 So without further ado, let me again get started on my next blog post. How I spent my New Year! 🙂 By the way, Happy New Year everyone! 🙂 I hope you had a blast as much as I did! 🙂
We spent our Medya Noche or our (New Year’s Eve Dinner) at the house of my aunt which is just a five minute drive away from our place. It was nice because the friends of my cousins since their High School days also came to pay a visit to their place.
They all bonded over drinks and chips until sunrise since they missed each other dearly. Meanwhile, my family and I heard mass first after being out for almost the whole day then proceeded with our traditional family dinner before embracing the New Year and welcoming it with open minds, arms and hearts.
A very spectacular fireworks show was unveiled in front of our eyes as my uncle always purchases all those loud and awesome fireworks. 😀 Different patterns and colors exploded up in the sky as we stared in awe. It was like I was watching the pomp fireworks display of the various TV Stations as they were counting down to NYE. (That’s how awesome it was!) .
We used to fly Japanese lanterns when we were kids for the past few years or so every New Year however since it was banned and we eventually out grew it. We just stuck with our sparklers as our staples 😀
A couple of relatives from my Aunt’s side also came in to join in on the fun with us that night so it came as no surprise to us when we went home very early in the morning again. 🙂 haha. We then had lunch again at their place the next day and what was great about it was that we were all complete during this lunch. P even came to celebrate it with my family! 🙂 How cool was that? 😀
We played games again, the usual Taboo however I presumed that lady luck wasn’t really on our side that day because we continuously lost in the succeeding rounds of the game. Beaten to every bit until we turned blue! (Okay that was a hyperbole! haha 🙂 But you get my point right? ). Cash prizes were generously doled out to the winning team and we went home with consolation prizes at the end of the day haha. At least we did not go empty handed all in the spirit of camaraderie 🙂
Everyone was in high spirits during the course of the day despite the glaring fact that all of us needed sleep due to the sleepless nights brought about by the holidays. So yesterday after all the fanfare and sumptuous feasts we deliciously devoured we just heard mass since it was First Friday and then we had our parlor session wherein I decided to color my hair black again. Actually it was a mistake by the hairdresser but since I could not undo it nor rectify it any longer. I just decided to stick with this black hair color until it eventually wanes off and reveal again my normal hair color. 🙂 haha. But that’s for another blog post. Again, Happy New Year Guys and Hello 2015!
