I really wished there was a day between Saturday and Sunday or than maybe I could take a breather from all the humdrum and just reflect and star gaze without a care in the world or better yet immerse myself in a retreat and just reflect, Just lost in my own stream of emotions and aimless thoughts just being forlorn in solitude as the words seem to recapitulate on my existence.
Anyway, I should stop all these lingering thoughts and just focus ahead on what’s coming up right? 🙂 Let not such hurdles block your sunshine and instead they should make you see the silver lining in all these things. Just strive to be better and keep your mind on the end goal. Remember nothing in life happens without sufficient reason and perhaps everything has a purpose. To make you better? To make you stronger? or To make you reach for your dreams more. 🙂 Sorry for all the ramblings, because I wanted to catch up on this much talked about movie I invited P to watch this movie with me and boy we definitely weren’t disappointed. To catch a general drift of what I’m talking about here’s a quick trailer of the movie.
Since we were trying to locate the building for me to redeem my free brownie samples which I was supposed to write about last week we were around the bustling city of the Ortigas area where an array of restaurants, BPO’s and other establishments surrounded the area. Since we haven’t had anything yet to fill in our tummies we decided to grab a quick lunch first at one of those establishments nearby.
I have read all the three books in this awesome, action packed trilogy and for me this one was the best. 🙂 It definitely did justice to the book although there were slight nuances to be noted from the book to the movie execution.
To give you a preview of what this is about here’s the movie trailer of the film.
I am so hell bent on finishing this new e book I found on my Kindle which goes by the title “The Pact” I really had no clue nor idea on how the plot would play out but so far it got me hooked since it automatically piqued my curiosity upon reading who the author was “Jodi Picoult”
She wrote one of my gut wrenching, heart string tugging books “My Sister’s Keeper” which revolved basically around the theme of a dying innocent child and their family. I was transported to another dimension and was hovered over the book for quite some time as tears were slowly welling down my face, making my eyes moist. It was so touching and stirred my deep seated emotions as I felt one with the character’s dilemmas in the book. That was how effective her writing style was. Here’s a short video depicting how the plot slowly unfolds and what’s in store for you in this lengthy read.
Before when you ask a child what he or she wants to be when he grows up, seldom do you hear one declaring, “I want to be a hair dresser or a make-up artist!” These were not top of mind career aspirations unlike being a teacher, doctor, lawyer, or engineer. Enthusiastically, in this day and age, career options have dramatically widened and employment as well as entrepreneurial opportunities now emphasize and demand for specialized, technical skills, unique personal competencies and passion. As such, the role of and need for quality education and practical training is pivotal now more than ever.
Since we rarely get time to go on vacations and I will be going away to Thailand in a couple of weeks now for almost a week. I wanted to make the most of my Holy Week vacation by catching up on my readings, bonding and spending quality time with the people I love the most like my family and of course catching up on my much needed sleep 😉 Yey! 🙂 That was my favorite part! 🙂 I have to make this post fast since it’s almost past my bedtime and I have to sleep again in a couple of minutes since it’s already going to be Monday again tomorrow. Hello Work! 🙂
I love spontaneous road trips and venturing off to new adventures and trying out new things! 🙂 Good thing that my family and P are game to go on with me to various adventures on my itinerary and my bucket list 🙂 Since it was the Holy Week and this was the only time wherein I could go on a vacation. P and I decided to embark on a spontaneous road trip going to Tagaytay last Thursday.
The past couple of months had been a whirlwind of emotions, thoughts, random musings and events here and there. Maybe I was disorganized? Maybe I was too excited? Maybe I was still too immature? But whatever the cause might be I will stand up to the changes and the choices that I made and will stick with them through and through since life is all about constant improvement of oneself right? Yeah, I guess right. Change is the only constant thing in this world and we must learn to be adaptive and receptive to these changes by improving ourselves and learning new skills along the way. Nonetheless, I will start this post on a positive note and will regale you all on what you’ve missed so far in my adventures! 🙂 hehe. Brace yourselves! 🙂 This is going to be a long personal post! 🙂 teehee.
