The past couple of months had been a whirlwind of emotions, thoughts, random musings and events here and there. Maybe I was disorganized? Maybe I was too excited? Maybe I was still too immature? But whatever the cause might be I will stand up to the changes and the choices that I made and will stick with them through and through since life is all about constant improvement of oneself right? Yeah, I guess right. Change is the only constant thing in this world and we must learn to be adaptive and receptive to these changes by improving ourselves and learning new skills along the way. Nonetheless, I will start this post on a positive note and will regale you all on what you’ve missed so far in my adventures! 🙂 hehe. Brace yourselves! 🙂 This is going to be a long personal post! 🙂 teehee.
With a total of 11 events, lay forums, International Conferences and Symposiums, meetings and other stuff like school and my other extra curricular events I was mostly MIA on all the social gatherings of my friends and also wasn’t able to blog again for like what seemed like forever. haha. Okay, that was a hyperbole 🙂 But anyway, I missed blogging big time! 🙂 I missed poring down my feelings and my random thoughts and musings so where do I begin now? After over a month of no update? Hmm. Maybe let me start off with the most recent venture wherein we celebrated the 34th birthday of one of my closest friends from work Anna at this hole in the wall place similar to El Chupacabra (Did I get the name right?) I hope I did. 🙂
We ate at Senor Pollo along the confines of Makati, there was also another one in Tomas Morato however since we all came from the Fort and due to time constraints we decided to just eat out in Makati since some of us will be fetched by their drivers soon after the dinner. I love meet ups with friends! 🙂 We got to update each other on the latest happenings in our so called busy lives and also get to regale each other with stories of our adventures and what we have been up to as of late. 🙂
The food was mostly on the spicy side since it was I think a Mexican joint. Good thing my friends loved spicy food and they all feasted on the Menu with great delight! 🙂 haha. Unfortunately for me, spicy food wasn’t really my cup of tea so I opted for the conventional and less spicy chicken dish and their macaroni and cheese for my side dish. 🙂 P followed us there to the venue soon afterwards since he wanted to see me despite his busy schedule. (Awww)
After having a couple of plates, two whole chicken dishes, 4 side dishes and water refills; we finally left the joint and decided to grab a couple of drinks before we called it a night. I rode with P going to the Fort while all the girls rode with Anna in her car since the car of Nadine was parked in the hospital while Kat and Pia both had their respective fetchers. 🙂 haha. We were supposed to head off to Prive or something however due to the number of people out on that specific Friday night we decided to relocate instead to the penthouse of Seda which was overlooking the whole metropolis and which offered a homey, cozy and classy cool ambiance.
Yes, you guessed it right it was at the Straight up Bar 🙂 Good thing there weren’t too many of a crowd when we got there and we were able to enjoy ourselves to some drinks and cocktails while we bonded the night away. Nino, one of P’s closest friends soon followed to the venue after along with his friend ( A first year resident) at their hospital.
We decided to call it a night around 12 midnight since I still had work the next day for my 2 lay forums and the egress of my lobby display. 🙂 To cap off the night here’s a photo of the birthday girl which I missed so much! 🙂 hehe. Thanks for this night Anna.
We also staged our fund raising event for school which tackles some of the most faced issues in Family Businesses the profits generated from this event will help support our finances in our upcoming Thailand trip wherein we will benchmark various services and companies here in our country to that of Thailand and will make a Global Marketing paper out of it afterwards. 🙂
The event turned out to be a success since we were able to generate some income from our generous sponsors however the funds generated weren’t enough to cover all of our expenses in Thailand so we have to generate another one again this coming month. Watch out for our next exciting and highly anticipated speed dating and game night events! 🙂 This is going to be epic and fun! 🙂
