New Discovery: KXP (Kulinarya Experience in Ortigas)

Since we were trying to locate the building for me to redeem my free brownie samples which I was supposed to write about last week we were around the bustling city of the Ortigas area where an array of restaurants, BPO’s and other establishments surrounded the area. Since we haven’t had anything yet to fill in our tummies we decided to grab a quick lunch first at one of those establishments nearby.

What caught our eye first and foremost was the name of the place called “KXP” I was wondering what it meant until P said that it stood for “Kulinarya Experience” which happened to be one of our favorite places to go to in Rockwell due to their appetizing and affordable meals. I have heard about this find from way back from my other friends but didn’t really had the luxury of time to visit this place up until this day.

We then decided to check this one out and try their new sides and meals here that weren’t present in Rockwell Powerplant Mall. As compared to the one in PPM this one was more low key and distinctly caters to the working class or the employees working nearby the area. I thought that what they had in Rockwell PPM were already affordable comparing them to their competitors in the area but boy I was wrong! πŸ™‚ This one here offers more budget friendly and affordable prices than their counterpart in Makati.

We ordered their set meal which came in a complete set from the appetizer to their main course and were neatly presented to us in a bento box. We were both thrilled since the prices weren’t that steep and provided you with the value for your money that you definitely deserve as a paying customer. Their waiters were fast to attend to your needs and didn’t keep us waiting for long for our orders to be served.

Of course my meal in KXP or Kulinarya Experience would not be complete if I didn’t have my favorite appetizer of all time! πŸ™‚ My sauteed mushrooms which I never tire of munching on despite the scorching heat outside. We also had their Caesar salad as compared to the Kani and Mango salad that we usually order we decided to try something new this time around. Their Caesar salad was served immediately to us which was good since we were both quite hungry as it was almost past lunch time when we got there. The salad did not disappoint and was presented in a ceramic pearly white bowl.

IMG_6116I had their all day breakfast meal which was their braised beef meal set since I skipped breakfast this morning and was looking forward to a healthy dose of a full meal of my tapa and eggs. πŸ™‚ It was very tasty and I finished this dish with utmost delight since I added some condiments to suit my taste even more. πŸ™‚ The happiness that I experience whenever I taste a new cuisine or dish that I like is one of the moments which I treasure the most. πŸ™‚

This one was P’s order I had a little bite from his Beef Salpicao and it was really tasty for a budget friendly meal unlike others wherein they tend to scrimp off on other ingredients to save off the costs this one still tasted the same as what they had in PPM.

Dessert Time

Of course no meal would be complete without the final straw or in this case dessert right? πŸ™‚ I asked for their recommendations and this one topped their list immediately. It was chocolate based and topped with sugar tidbits and some mousse to add cream to this tasteful dessert. πŸ™‚

My sweet tooth craving was definitely satisfied right after this one. We are definitely coming back for more. Our verdict: 4/5 stars !:)
