I wasn’t really keen on doing Hotel Reviews even though I have wanted to do so for quite some time now. Perhaps it’s because I was trying to get some inspiration in doing my hotel write ups, got stuck in my comfort zone of doing food reviews or maybe I just needed more exposure.
Nonetheless, this past weekend had been nothing short of amazing as we got the rare chance to stay in the former Trader’s Hotel Manila which was rebranded and named Hotel JenΒ to cater to the younger generation (Cough, Cough) namely “The Milennials”.Β

I wasn’t really keen on where it is located since I’m not really a Manila girl and I wasn’t really familiar with the name “Hotel Jen”. Good thing! The Grab Driver knew his way around the Metropolis and got me there in a jiffy! π Yey! π Thank God for Promo codes! π I only paid 85 bucks from Katipunan to Roxas Blvd. π

This family-friendly Pasay hotel is located near the airport, within 1 mi (2 km) of Cultural Center of the Philippines and Baywalk. SM Mall of Asia and Rizal Park are also within 3 mi (5 km). Very convenient for those transient travelers coming straight from the airport:)
I got at the venue quite late actually since I still had to finish off all my pending things for work since I did not want to be running late on all my deadlines so I got there around 3pm already missing lunch and some quality time with the other bloggers. But at least I finished what I was supposed to do so now I had the whole day left for my hotel staycation! π Yey! π

When I got there, I was immediately attended to and escorted to my room by 2 pretty ladies from their Marketing Department. (Too bad I didn’t quite get their names) π¦ My contact there Micko Maiquez tasked them to meet me at the lobby and accompany me to my room before we all gathered again at 5pm to have some wine and cheese at the Club Lounge located at the 19th Floor of the Hotel. π

First thing I did was to get settled and organize my stuff so that it would be easier for me to pack up again once I leave and enjoy my vacation to the fullest π I went around the room very impressed at all their amenities and room inclusions π

After settling down, I turned on the TV and watched some cable tv while lying down on their very comfortable bed and munching on some snacks that they gave to me upon my arrival. π

Being the busy bee that I was I wasn’t really planning on staying just inside my hotel room the whole day so I went out to explore what other awesome facilities they have being a 4 star hotel in the confines of Manila π

I guess I was enjoying snapping up photos of the place too much that I wasn’t well aware of the time that so much time has gone by and that it was almost 5pm. So I immediately made my way up to the 19th Floor Club Lounge wherein we were supposed to meet up with the other bloggers and watch the majestic sun set by the bay as we helped ourselves to some wine, cocktails and cheese π

You can have your daily dose of your afternoon tea/ coffee at the Club Lounge from 2-4pm in case you’re curious π Plus food and awesome delicacies which go along with your afternoon tea are also generously served there π You can just chill there, watch TV, Read some publications, dailies and glossies to keep you abreast of the latest scoop in showbiz news or in the stock market π
Since it was almost 7pm and almost dinner time as well we were then escorted downstairs at the Main Lobby. Words would definitely not be enough to express how much of a delight those awesome dishes brought to me so without further ado, I’ll post some of their photos here now. Ready? One, Two, Three π
Their menu was nothing short of amazing as dishes ranging from appetizers, main courses, side dishes and desserts were all in front of us for the taking π These are only a few of those dishes since everyone was immediately swarming to take food photos of the various dishes and people were already queueing up behind me to help themselves of this generous spread π
Afterwards I headed up to my room to unwind and relax again after all that heavy eating π I was really glad since they had free and fast wifi in the hotel π and I was hooked on streaming my favorite shows on my laptop once again π
Since I wanted to walk around a little bit after dinner I decided to chill out by the pool side and this is how it looks like at night π

Nothing can make me more relaxed than being by the poolside and reading over my new book π As soon as I started feeling my eyes droop I presumed it was time for me to get my night’s sleep to prepare myself for another day ahead. π

Now don’t let me get started on the sumptuous breakfast buffet !:) It was really savory and will definitely get you revved up for the day up ahead. Too bad I wasn’t able to take a lot of photos since it was super busy during that morning since a lot of people were already checking out of the hotel and all the tables were filled up so I had to hurry to find myself a spot π
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Everyone was very accommodating and amicable π Would I go back again? Definitely! π Till my next adventure! π
