My Long Weekend Staycation at Hotel Jen Manila

I wasn’t really keen on doing Hotel Reviews even though I have wanted to do so for quite some time now. Perhaps it’s because I was trying to get some inspiration in doing my hotel write ups, got stuck in my comfort zone of doing food reviews or maybe I just needed more exposure.

Nonetheless, this past weekend had been nothing short of amazing as we got the rare chance to stay in the former Trader’s Hotel Manila which was rebranded and named Hotel JenΒ to cater to the younger generation (Cough, Cough) namely “The Milennials”.Β

Me posing alongside one of their lobby displays πŸ™‚ A big letter J signifying their name “JEN”

I wasn’t really keen on where it is located since I’m not really a Manila girl and I wasn’t really familiar with the name “Hotel Jen”. Good thing! The Grab Driver knew his way around the Metropolis and got me there in a jiffy! πŸ™‚ Yey! πŸ™‚ Thank God for Promo codes! πŸ™‚ I only paid 85 bucks from Katipunan to Roxas Blvd. πŸ™‚

Christmas is really in the air as their Main Lobby was decorated with Christmas Decors , Gifts and Treats:)

This family-friendly Pasay hotel is located near the airport, within 1 mi (2 km) of Cultural Center of the Philippines and Baywalk. SM Mall of Asia and Rizal Park are also within 3 mi (5 km). Very convenient for those transient travelers coming straight from the airport:)

I got at the venue quite late actually since I still had to finish off all my pending things for work since I did not want to be running late on all my deadlines so I got there around 3pm already missing lunch and some quality time with the other bloggers. But at least I finished what I was supposed to do so now I had the whole day left for my hotel staycation! πŸ™‚ Yey! πŸ™‚

Posed around some of their decors and stalls in the Main Lobby first before being escorted to my room by 2 pretty ladies from their Marketing Department

When I got there, I was immediately attended to and escorted to my room by 2 pretty ladies from their Marketing Department. (Too bad I didn’t quite get their names) 😦 My contact there Micko Maiquez tasked them to meet me at the lobby and accompany me to my room before we all gathered again at 5pm to have some wine and cheese at the Club Lounge located at the 19th Floor of the Hotel. πŸ™‚

This comfy and soft queen sized bed greeted me at the doorway πŸ™‚ Looks like it’s calling me to have a “Sleepcation” πŸ™‚

First thing I did was to get settled and organize my stuff so that it would be easier for me to pack up again once I leave and enjoy my vacation to the fullest πŸ™‚ I went around the room very impressed at all their amenities and room inclusions πŸ™‚

They did not scrimp on those basic toiletries like the Bath Soap, Shower Gel, Shampoo, Conditioner and Toothbrushes with Toothpaste included πŸ™‚ They also had a rubber mat on top of the sanitized tub to prevent slipping in the restroom after you take a bath:)
There was even a phone beside the bowl for you to call the attendants in case of further needs and for them to assist you better πŸ™‚ Very thoughtful right? πŸ™‚

After settling down, I turned on the TV and watched some cable tv while lying down on their very comfortable bed and munching on some snacks that they gave to me upon my arrival. πŸ™‚

This paper bag full of goodies can be purchased at 400 bucks upon entering your hotel room πŸ™‚ You just need to call their front desk if you want to place an order πŸ™‚ With snacks like these how can you go wrong? πŸ™‚
Being a blogger has it’s perks sometimes πŸ™‚ Since I get to experience life on the other side of the spectrum and getting to know other businesses which add value to our lives and what they have to offer πŸ™‚ . This was our itinerary for today clipped inside the folder which also contained my hotel room cards πŸ™‚

Being the busy bee that I was I wasn’t really planning on staying just inside my hotel room the whole day so I went out to explore what other awesome facilities they have being a 4 star hotel in the confines of Manila πŸ™‚

This is what their rooms look like from the outside πŸ˜‰
Β My floor where I was checked in πŸ™‚
They also have a indoor gym wherein you can definitely tone those abs and get that fab body while watching some of your favorite shows on their LCD TV Screens πŸ™‚ It closes at 9pm btw so better be there early πŸ™‚
One of the things I loved about this place was their pool which had a pool bar by it’s side located at the 3rd floor πŸ˜‰ You can easily relax and lounge at their pool beds while being served refreshments or you can mingle with those hunks by the pool side while waiting for your drinks to come along πŸ™‚

I guess I was enjoying snapping up photos of the place too much that I wasn’t well aware of the time that so much time has gone by and that it was almost 5pm. So I immediately made my way up to the 19th Floor Club Lounge wherein we were supposed to meet up with the other bloggers and watch the majestic sun set by the bay as we helped ourselves to some wine, cocktails and cheese πŸ™‚

Welcome to the Club Lounge πŸ™‚
My view that afternoon πŸ™‚ For romantics it was the perfect date spot ! πŸ™‚ Watching the sun set by the bay while holding hands will truly make any girl’s heart swell with delight πŸ™‚
The bloggers who were invited to this awesome Hotel Staycation altogether with their families and Micko (Their Marketing Manager) Β πŸ™‚
I even had a photo with Santa who was charming his way through the crowd spreading Christmas cheers and joys especially to the kids and the kids at heart like me πŸ™‚ hehe
Me while waiting for my cup of coffee at the Club Lounge πŸ™‚

You can have your daily dose of your afternoon tea/ coffee at the Club Lounge from 2-4pm in case you’re curious πŸ™‚ Plus food and awesome delicacies which go along with your afternoon tea are also generously served there πŸ™‚ You can just chill there, watch TV, Read some publications, dailies and glossies to keep you abreast of the latest scoop in showbiz news or in the stock market πŸ™‚

Since it was almost 7pm and almost dinner time as well we were then escorted downstairs at the Main Lobby. Words would definitely not be enough to express how much of a delight those awesome dishes brought to me so without further ado, I’ll post some of their photos here now. Ready? One, Two, Three πŸ™‚

Their menu was nothing short of amazing as dishes ranging from appetizers, main courses, side dishes and desserts were all in front of us for the taking πŸ™‚ These are only a few of those dishes since everyone was immediately swarming to take food photos of the various dishes and people were already queueing up behind me to help themselves of this generous spread πŸ™‚

Afterwards I headed up to my room to unwind and relax again after all that heavy eating πŸ™‚ I was really glad since they had free and fast wifi in the hotel πŸ™‚ and I was hooked on streaming my favorite shows on my laptop once again πŸ™‚

Since I wanted to walk around a little bit after dinner I decided to chill out by the pool side and this is how it looks like at night πŸ™‚

Such a great view right? πŸ™‚

Nothing can make me more relaxed than being by the poolside and reading over my new book πŸ™‚ As soon as I started feeling my eyes droop I presumed it was time for me to get my night’s sleep to prepare myself for another day ahead. πŸ™‚

See my wet hair? hehe. Just got done showering when I went down for breakfast! πŸ™‚ Oh no! Another tempting spread! πŸ™‚

Now don’t let me get started on the sumptuous breakfast buffet !:) It was really savory and will definitely get you revved up for the day up ahead. Too bad I wasn’t able to take a lot of photos since it was super busy during that morning since a lot of people were already checking out of the hotel and all the tables were filled up so I had to hurry to find myself a spot πŸ™‚

Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Everyone was very accommodating and amicable πŸ™‚ Would I go back again? Definitely! πŸ™‚ Till my next adventure! πŸ™‚
