It’s January 4,2016! ๐ The first working day after the long hiatus and break from all the work last year ๐ Whohoo! ๐ Wish it could have lasted a little longer but hey I’m not complaining ๐ Just a little wishful thinking ๐ย
A lot of things have already transpired last year 2015 and I must say it has been such an adventurous roller coaster ride of emotions for me from the highest of the mountains to the lows of the valleys since it kind of pushed me to my limits, helped me find my niche in the Corporate World and I went out of my comfort zone a couple of times too this year ๐ย

So as I move forward to another fun filled and exciting year ahead of me let me first do a recap of the past year and how it has been for me ๐
My blogging, surprisingly one of the things that I have learned to love and had become my passion in such a short amount of time took it’s full swing this year. A lot of opportunities opened for me as I have been invited by top brands like Uniqlo, San Miguel, Smart, Globe, GSM Blue and I even got to have my very first hotel staycation in the confines of Manila! ๐ From a struggling foodie blogger to now a hotel blogger hehe. How cool is that?ย

Of course, the people along the way who helped paved the way for me would not be forgotten like the PR people I have become friends with like Pao Oga from EON, Henry Espiritu who is going to start his very own PR Firm this year Ms. Millet who invites me over to her product launches like Gatorade, LG and other various big product launches. My bloggger friends/ mentors like Richie Zamora fromย The Pickiest Eaterย and Sir Eli from Elifestylemanilaย and the likes.

School was also one of the things I have been balancing along with blogging as we just ended last semester with a bang ๐ New friendships were formed and a lot of learning and witty banter with my classmates, Professors and group mates ensued in our learning sessions.
We also went to BKK Thailand for one of my chosen electives altogether with our Marketing Guru Mr. Enrique Soriano ๐ There we studied their culture, the enterprises and how do we penetrate their market if ever we are to bring in a new product. We came up with product propositions and also probable businesses we can bring into their country and also came up with USP’s which can further enhance our product/ brand’s competitiveness and global market reach.

This 2016 I guess I would be blogging a little less than the usual since I am already down to my last 3 subjects prior to our capstone course which is the dreaded STRAMA ๐ (OMG! Goodluck to me) So I guess for the next 6 months I would have to set my priorities straight and FOCUS on the end goal which is to get done with my Masters.
Work was another facet of my life which definitely took a 360 degree turn this year as I got out of my comfort zone from the Medical/ Hospital Industry which I have grown to love and been accustomed to for the past 4 years or so of my working life to a totally purely Technical Field of Expertise. I now work closely not with doctors, nurses or medical practitioners of all sorts but with Architects, Engineers, Contractors and Sales People.

It was a whole new world to me that I must learn to navigate on my own as quickly as possible to catch up with the changing times. I have learned how to make a project pipeline, how to do a Marketing Scan of various probable properties which are conducive for a development. I also got sent to various places in the metro to see the construction of our projects and also some lands which may be probable for acquisition.ย
I usually didn’t care before about the mundane things like the furnishings or the interiors or the landscaping for that matter but now that I’m in this business. I get to see the other side and pay more attention to these intricacies.
Building on relationships has also been one of my priorities this year as I still kept in touch with my former friends from High School, My College Barkada, My Family, P’s Family and my Work Friends before in SLMC. ๐ย

I also went to the Vios Cup this year to blog about the event since I was invited by Ms. Cherry ย from The Big Difference Communications and also to support P’s Dad since he was racing too on that day. This year I also shared a lot of bonding moments with P’s family like his Ate who from the start hit it off the bat with me and ย we became immediate friends as well. ๐

We would talk about anything under the sun and she even invited me over to try her Bikram Yoga session once in Tomas which I thought I would suffocate due to the heat and pressure of the room. I had to remain seated for quite some time to gather my bearings before heading to join them again in the other positions.
We also had some game nights with the kids wherein we would play charades, belt out tunes in their Magic Sing or just play mind and guessing games with Gabby, Angel and Pow (P’s nieces and nephew) ๐
Overall, it was a great year for me despite the hurdles and the challenges along the way since I caught up with my long time friends, fostered close relationships with people, found my niche in the Corporate World and is almost this close to finishing off my Masters. Another great year ahead I presume and I guess it’s off to a good start since after I hosted and helped organize our Company’s Christmas Party last December 19,2015. This Saturday January 9,2015 I will host again this time for AGSB as the freshman hold their ORSEM in the halls of AGSB. ๐ See you there! ๐
Good bye 2015! ๐ Thank you for being awesome! ๐ Looking forward for a more fun filled and exciting 2016! ๐ย
