Just last week the movie on the life of St. Ignatius of Loyola was featured in various cinemas. To those not familiar with him, he is the founder of the Society of Jesus whose members, the Jesuits, are known for their educational, missionary, and charitable works worldwide. He is also the patron saint of Ateneo that’s why I came to know his name even before since it’s the school just adjacent to my high school.

I have always believed in the age old adage that life begins at the end of your comfort zone and that sometimes we have to veer out from the ordinary to experience the extraordinary things in life which give us much more meaning.
So finally just last week I was able to tick off another item in my list which was Scuba Diving! 🙂 Yey! 🙂 Cheers to more new adventures and experiences. Been planning to do this for some time now but I wasn’t really keen on pursuing it that much until just recently wherein I messaged my friend from school Rykiel who also happens to be a licensed scuba diver already and is very much involved in this sport since she finds it calming under the sea when the only thing you can hear is the sound of your breathing. It’s like meditating in a whole new world underwater! 🙂
I first got enamored by the Koreans or other Asian Beauties when I was in High School. To be honest I wasn’t really the girly girl type back then. I was more of the laid back, chill girl who loved adventure and anything that came in her way. Not much of that had changed through the years I guess cause I’m still as curious as a kid with the world and I love to learn and discover new things that come my way especially when it comes to make up and skin care since I like going to various adventures and road trips I also have to take care of my skin as well knowing that the sun’s UV Rays can cause irreparable damage to our skin.
Me and my officemate Kath doing a car selfie during our tree planting event in Bulacan last week. The weather was really hot back then good thing I packed in my sunblock to keep me protected.
What comes to mind when you hear the word “Satchmi?” Music? Sure. Coffee? Definitely. Food? Hopefully. At long last, the curators at Satchmi has expanded its space in SM Megamall to house more than the chock-full of records and Motorinos. This time around, Satchmi has added a long list of new products that both newcomers and frequenters will find interesting.
This was what greeted me during their soft opening night 🙂 A Full House of Customers and Regular Patrons
We all have moments in our lives wherein our emotions get the best of us especially in socially awkward situations that we are faced with. Whether you’re giving out a presentation to the ManComm of your company, or presiding a meeting between your outside suppliers or whether it’s meeting someone new for the first time who could be your potential partner in the future. It always pays to come in prepared to look well groomed and of course it comes to say with fresh breath.
To be honest, I wasn’t really keen on using mouthwashes before since most of the time they sting and I eventually end up just spitting it out after 2 minutes of gargling. Such a waste right? So when Unilab sent me these cute Swish sprays I was quite hesitant to try it out since I knew the repercussions of a stinging mouth spray. But after trying it out to my surprise it didn’t sting at all! Just spray and it will provide you with instant fresh breath in 10 seconds. It also comes in very convenient 10ml bottles.
Women are more empowered nowadays as compared to the generations of the past. Now we have high flying corporate jobs, we have opened up more and are successful in manning up own own businesses, we have the prerogative to widen our horizons, travel the world and get that post graduate degree you have always envisioned yourself to have.
The modern-day woman does not settle for anything less than perfect. From her style, to her look, down to every single detail there is to notice about her, she likes to take things up a notch. When it comes to her personal care products, she expects the same level up. We shouldn’t just settle for anything less than what we deserve right? Along with this comes maintaining our figures, taking care of our bodies and making sure our bodies get the pampering treatments once in a while.
So when the opportunity to listen in to an empowering girl talk came to me last week I immediately penned it in my planner and decided to go to Glorietta 1 last Sunday to check out what the event was all about. 🙂

Last Wednesday since it was a holiday I took the liberty to rest and enjoy my vacation in the middle of the week. Thank you to the current administration for declaring it as a holiday 🙂 I got to catch up on my much needed R&R and then during the evening of that night I was invited over to try the newest craze in town with regards to Vietnamese Cuisine and being the foodie that I was who am I to refuse a good meal right? 🙂 So since Eastwood was near our place I just took a grab car and got there in less than 15 minutes 🙂 How convenient! 🙂
Their native menu which we also got the chance to take home 🙂
It has been a busy roller coaster ride of events for me the past few weeks juggling a couple of activities all at the same time but it was okay I guess what better time to learn time management than now right?
But of course as ladies we should all learn to take a breather sometimes and unwind, rest and relax ourselves to brace ourselves for another busy week ahead. 🙂 So when I got an invite from Mommy Lariza of MWAH I automatically penciled it in my planner and looked forward to this pampering session at the end of the week. However, since it was a Friday payday that night I wasn’t able to make it in time and ended up getting there after most of them was done and all dolled up so in my resolve to make it early next time I booked myself up for an appointment with them on that same weekend and decided to come in a hour early so as to avoid the traffic. 🙂 Good thing it was a Sunday and due to the weather conditions that day not a lot of people were booked that day so I was easily prioritized after just a few minutes of waiting 🙂 Sometimes it pays to be early! 🙂
So here goes my GlamSquad adventure! 🙂
Upon entering the place I was honestly attracted to their creative interiors since it wasn’t just like your ordinary salon but it was like one from the movies wherein celebrities get all styled and dolled up in their own personal dressing rooms.
Contact lenses has become a fashion staple nowadays especially for cosplayers or for those who want to highlight the color of their eyes. Also for those wearing glasses this is also another alternative since aside from it enhancing your vision it also avoids the hassle of dealing with your glasses who may serve as a hurdle especially when you’re taking photos using your DSLR Camera.
I tried using contact lenses before when I was back in High School wherein it became a big hit plus it wasn’t that expensive too that time. I thought it was kinda cool as a fashion statement since it made my chinky eyes looked a little bigger. 🙂 However after a while it kinda irritated my eyes and I stopped using it and became more hesitant with regards to using contacts. It was only after a few years that I realized that I should not sleep on my lenses and that I should always clean it afterwards. I think I know better now and I’m ready once again to use them when the situation calls for it 🙂
