Long Locks that Shine at the GlamSquad Salon

It has been a busy roller coaster ride of events for me the past few weeks juggling a couple of activities all at the same time but it was okay I guess what better time to learn time management than now right? Β

But of course as ladies we should all learn to take a breather sometimes and unwind, rest and relax ourselves to brace ourselves for another busy week ahead. πŸ™‚ So when I got an invite from Mommy Lariza ofΒ MWAHΒ I automatically penciled it in my planner and looked forward to this pampering session at the end of the week. However, since it was a Friday payday that night I wasn’t able to make it in time and ended up getting there after most of them was done and all dolled up so in my resolve to make it early next time I booked myself up for an appointment with them on that same weekend and decided to come in a hour early so as to avoid the traffic. πŸ™‚ Good thing it was a Sunday and due to the weather conditions that day not a lot of people were booked that day so I was easily prioritized after just a few minutes of waiting πŸ™‚ Sometimes it pays to be early! πŸ™‚

So here goes my GlamSquad adventure! πŸ™‚

Upon entering the place I was honestly attracted to their creative interiors since it wasn’t just like your ordinary salon but it was like one from the movies wherein celebrities get all styled and dolled up in their own personal dressing rooms.Β

They asked me first what service I would like to avail of and I told them that I wanted to get my hair a new color and style since the black roots are already showing and I wanted something new and fresh for my hair since change is the only constant thing right? and also you wouldn’t know what looks good on you if you don’t try altering your look once in a while πŸ™‚ So I left it up to their senior hairstylist to choose which color would suit me best and he said that “Since you’re fair skinned I think a little matte blonde color would be perfect for you, just like the color of Bea Alonzo’s hair. It’s not too flashy but the effect is nice once it’s exposed under the sun πŸ™‚ ”

I put my full confidence in his hands knowing that he was an expert in this field having worked with top salons before transferring here at GlamSquad. They shampooed me first and then applied a hair protection serum onto my hair to protect it from damaging my strands. TBH, it was the first time someone applied a hair protection serum to my hair so as not to damage my strands that much with the color and I was touched that they really cared for their clients.

While I was sitting down in their chair while the color was being prepared I was offered some nuts and some hot tea, you can also opt to have their brewed coffee if you want to. πŸ™‚ Felt like a princess being all dolled up that day.

Owned by Ivy Varona, belonging to the same clan of hairstylist to the stars Biba Varona, said that she would like all her guests to feel like a celebrity. She herself is at the salon most of the times to provide first-class assistance. That was why they prefer you to schedule your appointment with them rather than you walking in so you can be attended to immediately πŸ™‚
Customer service is not the only thing that will make you feel like you are pampered here, she has also hired some of the most talented hair stylists. From a simple haircut to complex hair treatments, and from pedicure to the most relaxing foot spa, her salon provides a long list of beauty services. While waiting it out I decided to take some snaps of the floors above since they said that there was more to what meets the eye and that it was more than an ordinary salon and true to their word it was! πŸ™‚
Their second floor consisted of various lazy boy massage chairs which can be conveniently reclined if you want to lie down πŸ™‚

Towels and Pillows are also positioned on the chairs at your convenience.Β

They also have bigger couches to accommodate more people. If you want to invite your friends over for some pampering GNO then this is the perfect place to go as it offers privacy and top of the line services.

Glam Squad Salon has a wide array of vinylΒ premium records which are on display at their racks. The classics are their best sellers according to the brother of Ms. Ivy πŸ™‚ They also partnered up with Kickstart which is one of the leading distributors of original kicks. So if you’re more of the jeans type of girl you can easily relate to me right here! πŸ™‚
Blending in with the collection is a two-seat barber area with the pub-ish interiors. Gatherings with your guys and girls can be done here as it offers a comfortable feel as well as privacy for your boys. Food and drinks are also provided upon request.
I’m sure everyone is as excited as I am now as to how my hair turned out and I must say I was really happy with the results! πŸ™‚ It wasn’t flaunty and it gave my skin just the right complement it needed.
