August 2016 Monthly Diary Updates :)

It has been a good old 3 day vacation! πŸ™‚ Thank you Lord for the holidays which gets us ample time to relax and finally catch up on reruns of our favorite series in my case it’s catching up with my my missed episodes from Suits πŸ™‚ Maybe I should think about pursuing law in the future? Haha. Just a random thought πŸ™‚

The witty banter which ensues between the characters really know how to keep their audience glued to the screens anticipating every next episode to come. I couldn’t wait until the 8th Episode airs on the 31st.

Some of our lovely volunteers from the Accounting Department as well as Jerome from our Customer Service were all smiles that fateful day as we tried to paint the railings of the school.Β

So since I’m veering off topic again let me be quick to update on the happenings on my life this August. August 2016 had been a blur of events for me mainly because thereΒ were too much events to fit into one calendar month alone so to start off the month we had a nationwide outreach or CSR program involving the various subsects of our mothership company Phinma last August 12, 2016.

The various business sectors of the company were deployed all over the country to conduct various outreach initiatives. Some helped paint the railings of the schools in Pasig, some helped plant trees in the mountains, some helped cleaned the polluted bays of the South, some taught kids how to read and write while the others helped in building houses and modern dwellings for the informal settlers. Overall, it was a success with over 1,000 volunteers taking some time off from their work to help out in various causes and advocacies.

I also attended an event for Mountain Dew a couple of Friday’s ago wherein we got stranded in Makati and drenched in the rain but it was okay because at the end of the day we still managed to get home safely although it was almost past 2 am already in the morning. No thanks to the flooded streets brought about by the torrential rain that day. Good thing it was a Friday and I got to sleep off the rest of the morning the following Saturday! πŸ™‚

It was also the last week of school for us last week since this semester was already coming to a close and we had to finalize our papers for class. Good thing everything is all over now and I’m already enrolled for my next and hopefully my last semester in school. Finally! πŸ™‚ My MBA Journey has almost come to an end so I guess I would have to lie low in my Social Media engagements and activities to focus on drafting my paper in the months to come. πŸ™‚

Me and my best friend from High School Kat also went to a trip to the hot and humid Singapore although I got sick in the process caused by the days that I lacked sleep since my brother was also rushed to the Hospital just last week due to having URTI and a fever which was quite high. Good thing he got discharged already. The weather in Sg was quite unpredictable too since it rained every morning which caused us to bring in our handy jackets and hoodies and then during the afternoon it was already scorching hot.

When I got back to work, I had to prepare for the ingress of our set up for the three day exhibit held in Glorietta 1 wherein we ended up at around 2am already the next day.

We also had the despedida party of Ellis in our office and in one of the pubs in Mandaluyong a few weeks back since he was already leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. He treated us to some snacks in the office and even invited some of our site engineers to join in on the food fest.

Thank you for the treat Ellis! Bon Voyage! πŸ™‚Β

And then last but not the least was me coming over to Whipped in BGC and having my monthly waxing sessions done which I will post in my next few posts and also paying a visit to Boulangerie22 in Makati wherein they had me taste their new product and had me participate in their foodie challenge wherein I would test how cheesy inside their “Holy Cheesus” was πŸ™‚

a6
I must say it was definitely cheesy and lives up to it’s title. πŸ™‚ You just have to heat it in a toaster and not a microwave so as not to distort the quality of the soft, buttery bread.Β

Thank you to Gale (Their PR Manager) for having me over to try and participate in their Holy Cheesus Challenge πŸ™‚ So for all those cheese lovers out there like me, try it out too and tell me what you think πŸ™‚ Until my next monthly update πŸ™‚
