Health Hacks to avoid FOMO

Living a healthier lifestyle is not only about eating the proper kinds of food; it is also about exerting the right amount of physical activity per day.  Recent studies have shown that adults need at least thirty minutes of exercise daily, to maintain their healthy and active outlook.

To be honest, I need help with regards to this area since I sometimes let my emotions get the best of me especially with new cuisines and dishes! 🙂 I get all giddy and hyper upon just smelling the delicious, newly cooked and delectable scent from the dishes percolating through my nostrils so I tend to consume more than what I can burn. 😦 Gotta strike a balance between the food that I intake and those calories that I burn I guess since I’m not getting any younger and I can feel that my metabolism isn’t as fast as it used to be.

Me with my Mom trying to balance our lifestyle by joining fun runs once in a while 🙂 We even participated in their Zumba session soon after 🙂 It’s a great day to burn all those calories away 🙂

October 2016: Of Sunrise and Sunsets

They say the only constant thing in life is change right? Or was it death and taxes? haha. Now I don’t want to sound morbid here or too morose since December is just around the corner ushering in a season of festivities and special occasions so I’ll just keep everything light.

However, maybe I just don’t feel the Christmas spirit this time around. Not to be a grinch or dampen anyone’s spirit for that matter but I don’t know why I seem to be down as of late. I guess everything happens for a reason and maybe it takes a lot of maturity to be a grown up sometimes. So I guess I would have to do away with my happy disposition or maybe lessen all those things which seem to weigh me down and cause me undue distress. Some things got to give and when you feel that unhappiness constantly lingering in your thoughts. I guess it’s the time wherein you have to check with yourself and re-assess if you’re still on the right track and if this is still what you really want.

Sunsets like these still remind me that there can still be something good in endings.

It’s back to the basics with Bao on the Block :)

It’s been more than 2 weeks already since I last updated my blog. Sorry for the lack of posts and updates it’s just that I have been running around like a headless chicken on the block with my list of things to do. For the past 2 weeks a lot has already transpired with a lot of new joints that I discovered to trekking a new mountain with my officemates and dipping ourselves in the icy cold pristine crystal clear waters of the Majayjay Falls to the Christening of my officemates baby girl to staying in at a Hotel during the recently concluded All Soul’s Day. But of course that’s for another story.

For this entry, I would like to highlight my most recent food discovery along the confines of Tomas Morato wherein a lot of mom and pop joints seem to proliferate the area but only a few stand out for me. 🙂

More fun and colorful days with new Gardenia snacks

I can’t believe it has been more than two weeks since I last updated my blog. Guess time really flies so fast these days. So anyway, I’m back from my 2 week hiatus! 🙂 Yey! 🙂 So before I begin with my slew of blog posts for this week let me first start off with something exciting for a foodie girl like me who likes to eat a lot 🙂

Looking back as a kid, I loved to experiment with various types of snacks for our merienda from whipping up made up sandwiches with condensed milk, cheese whiz or melted butter  in between or to mixing my plain rice with some milo. (Yes, I know like to try different stuff out) But of course, bread for us would always be a staple in our snack time and one of those household names which rose to fame during that time and until now is the brand called Gardenia 🙂
