Being a blogger entails various kinds of things. Some do it for the compensation that it offers, some do it to serve as an outlet for all their innermost thoughts, some do it to make friends and meet new people from all walks of life and some just love to write.
What started as a passion project for me since 2014 has eventually bloomed into something more than what I initially bargained for. Through my blog, opportunities were opened and people from all walks of life became my friends. It widened my horizons too since I was invited to a couple of new product launches and up and coming hot spots in the metro.
For me, it is more than just getting freebies from your sponsors or brands but it is more of a personal expression. An online diary wherein I can vent what I feel and what I want to say. It is more of sharing my personal thoughts on various subject matters and releasing off some steam when I’m down in the doldrums.
Last December 28, one of the blogger groups that I joined celebrated their Christmas party at the St. Nicholas Catering and Restaurant in Mandaluyong City .
Blogger members took the opportunity to make new friends and catch up with old friends they have not seen for a while. Representatives of different PR groups and brands also graced their event and personally thank bloggers, online writers and influencers who have supported them in the past years.
FBN currently has more than 1,800 blogger members and continue to expand as it provides a venue for Filipino bloggers to interact with other members from different part of the Philippines. Moderating the discussions and posting opportunities from different brands for the group are co-admins Divine RC and Richard Mamuyac. With the support of MetroBuzz led by its admin Lariza Garcia, the annual event has become even more bigger on its fourth run.
Some of the sponsors for the party to be made possible are as follows:

One of my favorite make up brands also graced the night by raffling to us some of their prized beauty products. All you had to do was upload a selfie in your Social Media Accounts and use their hashtag for that night.
Their Marketing Manager Ms. Alaine along with her boss would choose the winner for the best in photo contest and of course the prize would be none other than Dearberry Products. 🙂 Being a fan of Korean skin and their make up products I wasn’t expecting to win or bag a place at all but I was secretly hoping so. Towards the end of the program Ms. Alaine called up on stage the winners of their photo contest and to my surprise I bagged the second place. They gave me a loot bag with some of their make up essentials like the brow pencil, facial masks, eyeliner and of course my favorite mascara. Since I have sparse eyebrow and eyelash hair I decided to use it immediately upon getting home 🙂 Couldn’t contain my excitement I guess.
