Just a couple of weeks back I was given a chance to walk down the runway together with various celebrities and professional models all draped in various signature tops and garments from the different merchandisers of the Trinoma Mall.
I wasn’t really expecting much since I just thought that it would be a small event held in the Activity Center of the Mall but to my surprise a lot of people including my family came to the event to cheer on their favorite community models and witness their favorite stars walk down the runway and deliver their own intermission numbers.
It all stemmed from a viber message of my cousin who works in Ayala as part of the Operations Department. She asked if we wanted to join in on the Fashion Show of Trinoma slated on the 3rd of September. Since me and my sister weren’t doing anything on that day we decided to give it a go.
The event organizer soon got in touch with us asking for our sizes, our age, height and other details. We were then asked to come in early on September 2 for the fitting of the garments and the practice walk. However since we were hosting a family dinner at home to celebrate the birthday of my sister (September 4), my brother (August 31) and my cousin (August 28) we decided to hold it in our place since both my brother and sister were celebrants.
We got to the mall at 11am sharp and then stayed there until the late afternoon. We left at around 6pm since we still had to procure a cake for the family dinner so off we went to Conti’s to get a small moist chocolate cake.
Mom was quite happy since we made it before the guests arrived and that we were able to get settled in before all the hullaballo commenced.
Come the next day, we arrived on the venue to practice our walk and to have our hair and makeup done before the fashion show started. They provided us with lunch and they also gave us some food stubs to dole out to our friends/ family so that they can watch in close proxmity since the area would be cordoned off in a short while.
After eating lunch, I went to the makeup room to get my face done and my hair fixed. 🙂
We were then ushered to the backstage to fit our dresses since the first show is about to start. I was feeling a bit jittery since I didn’t expect that a lot of people would come but my friend just told me to relax and have fun so that’s exactly what I did.
Too bad, My family wasn’t able to witness our first walk but nonetheless, I was glad that they were still able to make it 🙂 Krizel then took a video of me walking down the runway for my second walk donned in Plains &Prints.
After we walked down the runway, for the finale various artists like James Reid, Brent Jackson, Sam Concepcion, Kiana Valenciano and Kim Chui all enthralled the audience with their own intermission numbers.
It was definitely an event to remember. Thanks for this awesome experience Ate Mix. 🙂
