The past few weeks had zoomed by like a dream. A lot has already transpired and it’s the BER months once again. To be honest, I don’t really know what to write about first since there are a hundred things coursing through my mind right now. But before I veer off again into other topics let me first recount some of the highlights of my life during the past few months.
I’m back! Feels so good to be back in the blogging world after taking a hiatus for a couple of weeks. I’m really sorry that I don’t get to update my blog more often due to the other pressing priorities which calls my attention but I promise to post at least once or twice a month once again to regale you with the latest happenings in my life. 🙂
So before I veer off topic again, let me first regale you with my recent adventure in the pristine shores of El Nido 🙂
I have always believed in the age old adage that life begins at the end of your comfort zone and that sometimes we have to veer out from the ordinary to experience the extraordinary things in life which give us much more meaning.
So finally just last week I was able to tick off another item in my list which was Scuba Diving! 🙂 Yey! 🙂 Cheers to more new adventures and experiences. Been planning to do this for some time now but I wasn’t really keen on pursuing it that much until just recently wherein I messaged my friend from school Rykiel who also happens to be a licensed scuba diver already and is very much involved in this sport since she finds it calming under the sea when the only thing you can hear is the sound of your breathing. It’s like meditating in a whole new world underwater! 🙂
One of my goals this year is to make the most of my time by crossing out more items in my bucket list and going out of my comfort zone. So far I guess I have crossed around 5 items already doing one item every two weeks or so :)I’m even more excited to cross out more like scuba diving, flying a plane and indulging in the hot springs of Antipolo 🙂
One of these things is learning how to do calligraphy but of course I couldn’t really do it since it also comes with a cost like purchasing all those specialized inked pens and paying for your lessons. Good thing I was invited to the launch of Titus Pen’s newest Brand Ambassador none other than the lovely lass Liza Soberano who stars in one of the top rating soaps today “Dolce Amore” with her on screen partner Enrique Gil 🙂
I wasn’t really keen on doing Hotel Reviews even though I have wanted to do so for quite some time now. Perhaps it’s because I was trying to get some inspiration in doing my hotel write ups, got stuck in my comfort zone of doing food reviews or maybe I just needed more exposure.
Nonetheless, this past weekend had been nothing short of amazing as we got the rare chance to stay in the former Trader’s Hotel Manila which was rebranded and named Hotel Jen to cater to the younger generation (Cough, Cough) namely “The Milennials”.
The APEC Summit creates a four-day holiday for the tenants of Metro Manila. Flights are being cancelled and the flow of traffic is expected to thicken within the city as main roads are scheduled to be closed for this congregation, If you’re still thinking about what to do over this long weekend, this hiatus can be best maximized with an out-of-town road trip/adventure to places like Vigan or Laoag. Vacation mode is so on!!
We all have goals right? Whether it be getting your own personal car, getting a raise, switching careers, finishing off your Master’s or just simply losing weight and achieving a whiter and glowing skin.
Superficial as it may seem, One of my goals this year was to get glowing, smoother, younger looking and lighter skin. I believe that we usually take for granted the biggest organ in our body which is our Skin.
One of my favorite teleserye’s to watch whenever I have the chance is Pasion de Amor starring the sexy, sultry ladies like Arci Munoz, Ellen Adarna and Collen Garcia along with their love teams Jake Cuenca, Ejay Falcon and Joseph Marco. ( But since I rarely catch it due to work I just watch it’s replays on the net).
Anyway, Imagine my delight when I got invited to last night’s event with Ginebra San Miguel wherein they are bringing with them their Calendar Girl for 2016 and it’s no other than one of my celebrity crushes Arci Munoz! 🙂 She was so pretty in person! 🙂 I couldn’t help but have a photo with her and she even signed my calendar! 🙂
Since I make it a point to allot at least one day of my weekend for fitness and fun we decided to try out this relaxing and fun Water Spa place in Pasig that we heard great reviews about.
P purchased this deal from Metrodeal and surprised me with a visit to Ace Water Spa in Pasig which had various amenities like locker rooms, a sumptuous buffet spread which would amount to 500 only when you purchase a deal from the original price of 700 without the voucher, an unlimited access to all their jet pools, lap pool, saunas, a steam room, hot herbal pools and a very cold as in like freezing temperature pool! 🙂
We all know the saying that your 20’s are the time for you to explore, go to places, travel, read a lot, discover new cuisines, find the happiness you deserve and never settle for something less than what you deserve. This is the time to search for what really makes you happy. Who says you can’t right? Sometimes honey, dreams do come true if you only have the right mindset and focus. Dare to dream and go out of your comfort zone and live the life you were always meant to have. That diet that you keep putting off for I don’t know how long? Get started on that! :), the book that takes you like forever to read? Start with one chapter a day, that blog you always wanted to set up and update? Write away! :), that mountain that you only dare dream of conquering? Practice on your office stairways :). Nothing is impossible until you say so.
