I have always believed in the age old adage that life begins at the end of your comfort zone and that sometimes we have to veer out from the ordinary to experience the extraordinary things in life which give us much more meaning.
So finally just last week I was able to tick off another item in my list which was Scuba Diving! 🙂 Yey! 🙂 Cheers to more new adventures and experiences. Been planning to do this for some time now but I wasn’t really keen on pursuing it that much until just recently wherein I messaged my friend from school Rykiel who also happens to be a licensed scuba diver already and is very much involved in this sport since she finds it calming under the sea when the only thing you can hear is the sound of your breathing. It’s like meditating in a whole new world underwater! 🙂
Since I make it a point to allot at least one day of my weekend for fitness and fun we decided to try out this relaxing and fun Water Spa place in Pasig that we heard great reviews about.
P purchased this deal from Metrodeal and surprised me with a visit to Ace Water Spa in Pasig which had various amenities like locker rooms, a sumptuous buffet spread which would amount to 500 only when you purchase a deal from the original price of 700 without the voucher, an unlimited access to all their jet pools, lap pool, saunas, a steam room, hot herbal pools and a very cold as in like freezing temperature pool! 🙂
Since we rarely get time to go on vacations and I will be going away to Thailand in a couple of weeks now for almost a week. I wanted to make the most of my Holy Week vacation by catching up on my readings, bonding and spending quality time with the people I love the most like my family and of course catching up on my much needed sleep 😉 Yey! 🙂 That was my favorite part! 🙂 I have to make this post fast since it’s almost past my bedtime and I have to sleep again in a couple of minutes since it’s already going to be Monday again tomorrow. Hello Work! 🙂
November usually brings out the spooks in us and makes the hairs on our bodies rise maybe due to the All Soul’s Day coming up? 😀 But nonetheless a lot of the much awaited and anticipated events are up for grabs this month and I was fortunate to be invited to the press release of some of these events alongside some media partners, radio stations and bloggers. So enough with the other details let me start off now with one of the most highly awaited events for this month. Tadadada. Presenting the Dance Unite 2014!! 🙂 Woot! Woot! 🙂
Me and my friends are quite different in more ways than one but what binds us together is our ultimate love for adventure and trying out new things. YOLO! 😀 You only live once right? So anyway, moving on we heard about this new place that recently opened in both Eastwood and Jupiter Street in Makati at the old RCBC building (note: I was already spooked upon entering the vicinity since the place was quite dilapidated and outdated which adds up to the creepy feel of the place, the elevator too was sort of an old school lift which bores an uncanny resemblance to the one in most horror flicks that I watched). Too much movies I guess! 🙂
“I believe the children are our future Teach them well and let them lead the way Show them all the beauty they possess inside Give them a sense of pride to make it easier Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be”
This song by Whitney Houston clearly encapsulates the experience I had last Saturday wherein I was given the rare privilege to be invited as one of their guest bloggers to witness one of the most anticipated and exciting events this year which would surely change lives of people.
I have always established travel and adventure goals since I was a child like traveling to at least two domestic destinations and one international destination every year, climbing a mountain while completing a 5k run, watching the sun rise and sun set as I sit back and relax along the mountainside, joining a fun run with some hurdles scattered along the way, solving mysteries with your friends as you escape from the pitch black dark room, screaming my lungs out as I got chased by corpses and zombies in Scream park with my friends, watching an International Broadway play, riding a go kart & jet ski, riding a camel, seeing the windmills, patting a tiger without getting bitten, learning pottery, coursing through the raging rapids, cruising along a lake while singing and eating, island hopping to various virgin islets and snorkeling to see the corals and various underwater treasures and fishes. Seeing new sights, museums and tasting various cuisines in some hole in the wall food joints. I feel quite blessed since I was able to accomplish all of my goals so far and I am looking forward to ticking most of them off in my bucket list. Yey! 😀
Since we all wanted to try something new and have an ultimate adventure we decided to embark on another new thing. Guess what? We decided to climb a mountain in Antipolo. But it wasn’t just an ordinary climb, it was actually a trail run wherein you have to conquer various obstacles like some trees, the muddy slopes, the rocky formations, pass over the falls, cross some rivers and just have a great time while running since there was a time limit to the runners.
I believe that you should maintain a healthy work life balance in your daily lives and what better way than to constantly develop yourself and your potentials. Just don’t forget your utmost priority which is of course YOUR HEALTH. How can you function efficiently and effectively if you are in great pain from an infirmity right? So anyway, we tried out this new place along the block of New Manila called Ala Gym and tried out their boxing program and see how we would fare in their fitness program. So here goes:
Since it was a Sunday and I had work yesterday, Pat decided to pay me a visit at work since we were going to hear mass and dinner will follow suit afterwards. We decided to head out to mass and then maybe play some board games with his friends since we were all in constant communication with the group during the course of the night.
However, mass finished a little late and then came the heavy downpour of the rain so we just decided to reschedule our night out with our friends and just have a casual dinner somewhere near. After scouring Morato for another new find we decided to just eat at Rub Ribs. Although we ate there before we just consented on eating there again since we thought it was a good find and since both of us were already starving after the mass.
