I’m back! Feels so good to be back in the blogging world after taking a hiatus for a couple of weeks. I’m really sorry that I don’t get to update my blog more often due to the other pressing priorities which calls my attention but I promise to post at least once or twice a month once again to regale you with the latest happenings in my life. 🙂
So before I veer off topic again, let me first regale you with my recent adventure in the pristine shores of El Nido 🙂
Since we love adventures and new jaunts along the way. We try to spice things up by making a bucket list of things that we can embark on and go to and by the end of every year we look back at what we have accomplished so far and how far we have gone to the goals that we have set for ourselves at the beginning of the year.
We make it a point to travel and end our year with another milestone or a memory worth noting so for this year what better way to end my 2014 than embarking again on a back packing trip with no less than the underground rivers and caves of Palawan and diving off into their pristine waters by the shores.
November is Bonifacio Month! 🙂 Since one of our highly esteemed and courageous national heroes is to be remembered this month. Who is it? You may ask? Well my dear, it’s non less than Andres Bonifacio who braved the Spanish colonial rule and started out the KKK fighting for our freedom and democracy against the shackles that these Spaniards tried to pin on us. (Shout out to the Filipino People!)
I love the Fort!! 🙂 Not only does it boast of rich establishments which will surely tinker your fancy but also it offers a wide array of services and awesome food stalls and joints wherein you can just drink some beers and have a good laugh with your buddies on a Friday night out. The lush green parks are also a place to jog and leisurely walk around the place when you want to release all those pent up stress from the daily grind of your workplace and your life.
BGC now converts the typical fun run into a fast paced city wide puzzle where BGC holds the pieces. Teams for RUN BGC 2014: Urban Adventure have to solve mind boggling clues, tackle exciting challenges and play to win for amazing loots and prizes!! (Now tell me who wouldn’t love that?).
This is one of those throwback posts from 2 years ago. How time really flies when you’re having fun! 😀 One of us already got hitched just barely two months ago. Next thing you’ll know everyone will be talking about wedding bells, kids and all those family stuff that usually concerns grown ups. 😀
Treasure each passing day because time flies by so quickly you won’t know where all those time had gone by the time you reach 50. Laugh like there’ no tomorrow, take risks, love with all your heart and embark on awesome and breath taking adventures with your friends because you only have one life to live so better make the most out of it. I especially love my off days since I’m able to catch up on my writing. 😀
“What started off as a family pastime for a mother and daughter tandem has now developed into a full fledged bakery café business with the aim of satisfying our customers’ cravings for traditional home cooked meals and fresh out of the oven pastries and baked goodies.”
I got this from their website. Since it’s quite a rare occasion that all four of us are together on a weekend (Me, Mom, Krizel and Mikey) because I usually have work on the weekends or Mom has a trip out of town due to work. We decided to head out after much resting at home to bond and beautify ourselves. 🙂 Mom had her hair washed and colored while my sister had her nails treated to a posh manicure while my baby brother had his hair trimmed since he was bored with watching all of us girls pampering ourselves and he was left to his own devices to entertain himself. (Haha! Sorry Mikey that’s one of the perks of living in a household full of girls).
Since I wanted to unwind after a long and tedious day, I decided to take the chance to watch this new movie I copied from my friends hard drive. After finally settling for this movie called “About Time” which seemed to tickle my fancy and piqued my interest I decided to give it a go.
In all our food trips and joint ventures we have never eaten in a hole in a wall restaurant I must say so this one is something new for me. However, this is by so far was worth all my hesitations about the place. Pat was really good with locating some of the most elusive but very good dining places around the metropolis and since we just came from a relaxing massage, we decided to make the most of the night and satiate our hunger pangs at Rub Ribs.
For the past few weeks or so, I seem to miss working out whether it is lifting weights from participating in the Group exercises in Fitness First (Where my cousin used to tag me along as his guest when it’s my off), from the swimming and kick boxing sessions I used to do every Wednesday and Friday before I started my MBA in Ateneo or from my usual running around the Fort with my workmates and friends after work. I don’t really get to work out a lot now due to my back aching from time to time and I’m usually tired already by the time I want to work out so on one particular weekday Pat and I decided to come out for a quick run along the Fort.
He went to my workplace and as I regaled him of my stories of how my day went, we decided to eat out first then go jogging afterwards since we were both hungry already and we couldn’t function well running low on carbohydrates and food. We came across this new joint, well for me it’s new since I noticed it just recently so we decided to give it a try. It’s called “Luna Cafe” owned by no less than one of our classmates from MBA Fille and her husband Lino Cayetano.
