To be honest, Skincare wasn’t at the top of my priorities during my formative years. Back in the day I would just frolic under the sun without a care in the world as I played around with my friends and neighbors. However, times hav changed drastically and our skincare routine should now take precedence in our priority list.
Bad skincare can result in an unclear, porous complexion marked by acne scars and melasma. It’s harder to look good with bad skin since you have to double the effort in putting on makeup trying to conceal what’s under all that foundation. That is why I never sleep without rinsing my face of makeup and I consistently apply moisturizer and sunscreen on my skin upon waking up in the morning.
They say that the best things in life come when you least expect it. This age old adage holds true for me since just last week as I celebrated my birthday my friends, family and KD all connived together to stage a surprise birthday bash for me.
Since I was to embark on another sojourn with my friend Kat I decided to pay Whipped in BGC a visit first before my flight since some of my wardrobe staples consisted of sleeveless tops and I didn’t want to raise my arms in Sg with a forest under there. I just wanted to feel free and confident and you couldn’t do that if you’re constrained with a lot of underarm hair right? or if your brows aren’t on fleek and with lots of strays. Gotta maintain that #kilaygamestrong wherever you may go. 🙂
So right after work I decided to drop by BGC after doing some last minute shopping and before heading out to The Medical City to get my car since I slept there the night before to stay with my brother who got confined and I left my car there since I was coding on a Friday. 😦
So upon entering the place, the warm, comfy and girly interiors are sure to greet you.
Not only do I love Korean Skincare products but I also want to travel to Korea someday. After my Coron and El Nido escapade just a few weeks back I again booked myself to another travel vacation a couple of months from now. Yey! 🙂 Cheers to new travels and new must see destinations! 🙂
Are you familiar with the “Heal the World Video”? This was sung by none other than one of my favorite music icons Michael Jackson 🙂 It tugged at my heartstrings as the message of the song touched me and also opened my eyes to the everyday plight of the suffering people. Here is the video of the song in case you missed it 🙂
As the message of the song goes, make the world a better place by healing and helping. I love running but I also love helping out for a cause and what better way to mix the two together than in this advocacy run by none other than CDO and it’s partners like San Marino, Lead Pack ,Highlands and their other partner sponsors 🙂
November is Bonifacio Month! 🙂 Since one of our highly esteemed and courageous national heroes is to be remembered this month. Who is it? You may ask? Well my dear, it’s non less than Andres Bonifacio who braved the Spanish colonial rule and started out the KKK fighting for our freedom and democracy against the shackles that these Spaniards tried to pin on us. (Shout out to the Filipino People!)
I love the Fort!! 🙂 Not only does it boast of rich establishments which will surely tinker your fancy but also it offers a wide array of services and awesome food stalls and joints wherein you can just drink some beers and have a good laugh with your buddies on a Friday night out. The lush green parks are also a place to jog and leisurely walk around the place when you want to release all those pent up stress from the daily grind of your workplace and your life.
BGC now converts the typical fun run into a fast paced city wide puzzle where BGC holds the pieces. Teams for RUN BGC 2014: Urban Adventure have to solve mind boggling clues, tackle exciting challenges and play to win for amazing loots and prizes!! (Now tell me who wouldn’t love that?).
Another food trip down memory lane, in this case down the Bonifacio High Street Lane. We came across this new joint which happened to be a brainchild of Senator Pia Cayetano called “Slice” it advocates healthy dishes (Except for their desserts) perhaps since she is a triathlete on the side, one of the many hats she wears.
Good Times is the place to go for entertainment, a cigar, beers, or a bite with your buddies after work, after a movie, during a hot date, or just because you wanna go out on a nice day. This is certainly a centrist joint, a community-oriented spot, a place with something for everyone.
I was always intrigued by what this restaurant had to offer since we usually pass by it whenever we have some catch up sessions with my friends along the Fort. However, I have never dined in there before since I usually see empty chairs and not a lot of traffic coming in to their store. So yesterday since it was a holiday. (Thanks Ninoy!) and since most establishments were closed or open only for a limited time only we decided to give this Chinese joint a try.
How time really flies! 🙂 Do you ever catch yourself staring blankly in the air sometimes and just recall what did you do all those years while you were growing up? or what were the series of events which led to where you are now? As I look back at those good old fun times I cannot help but feel a little nostalgic reminiscing those memories and food trips I had back then with my girls.
Those were the days when we could just laugh to our hearts delight and eat all the pounds away with our gregarious food trips and adventures when all of us except Pilar were single and just wanted to have a grand time. Since I just recently got into the habit of blogging I decided to post all of my past food trips and adventures also here because like our mantra in life: Memories should all be documented, not forgotten.
