Education is the greatest gift our parents can ever give us, that was the mantra that my Mom and my Grandmother instilled in us as children. They taught us that nothing beats the value of a good education since it would be your weapon to the outside world in surviving all the hurdles life may throw your way in the future.
Growing up, My Mom being a solo parent did her best in giving us the best that she can afford by enrolling us in the best tertiary school near our residence and making us join various summer workshops which would hone our skills beyond the four walls of the classroom. Me and my sister would usually dabble in piano classes, taekwondo, swimming and other Summer Enrichment Programs which can help us not only socialize but also hone our other skills like “Teamwork”, “Coordination”, “Balance” etc.
How can I be happy? This is one of the most commonly asked questions among millennials nowadays. To be honest, the answer is simple. You just have to be honest with yourself. Do whatever makes you happy and pursue your passions. Don’t do it just because of the monetary compensation it offers since it would not give you fulfillment and a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day if that’s your only driving force.
You should assess your passions early on and work towards making a living by pursuing your passion and only then will the rest follow. A lot of events had once again transpired for me this past few weeks from juggling meetings here and there to finally defending my thesis for my Graduate School. YAS 🙂 Another milestone unlocked! 🙂
They say that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder right? So why do girls chase after those good looking modelesque guys with those taut 6 pack washboard abs 🙂 Why not go for those guys who have a great sense of humor? An Intelligent Mind with whom you can have intellectual discourses with and someone with that CONFIDENCE X Factor? 🙂
Before you even widen your eyes and ask yourself if you read it right, let’s clear one thing: “sakto” shouldn’t be taken as synonymous to “average.” Sure, average guys are still capable of attracting certain girls, but the truth is most women aren’t satisfied with the basics. Men being merely pogi isn’t that exciting for them anymore either. “We want more!” 🙂 Comes the clamor of more and more women of this generation.
It has been a whirlwind of events for me the past few weeks since I made it a point that this year will be the year that I would go out of my comfort zone and widen my horizons. Guess it’s time to face my fears 🙂
Since I have always been an extroverted person by nature, going to various events had always been I guess second nature to me however due to time and financial constraints adventures and travels were kinda put on hold or limited to just one or two travels per year 🙂
However since I’m almost on my last stretch of my schooling now and my weekends are mostly free now I have already started embarking on some milestones and adventures these past few weeks 🙂
Last week, I was invited to grace the prestigious Philippine Property Awards at the Fairmount Raffles Building in Makati. It was my first time covering this event and since I now work in the Real Estate Development Sector I was kinda familiar with some of the Developers who were also nominated and shortlisted in the various categories.
The event commenced in the evening wherein flocks and droves of property developers and business leaders all graced the event.
Last Wednesday I was invited by Ms. Rowena from Animetric’s World to the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati where an event hosted by Henessy will be showcased. I wasn’t quite keen on that place so I decided to Waze it first before heading out to Ateneo to attend our Forum and also my class 🙂 hehe. (Side trip first) 🙂
We live in a fast paced world and with it comes a multitude of events, meetings, deadlines and passions to pursue. Sometimes all we need is a breather and a breath of fresh air to unwind and to ready ourselves for another grueling week ahead! 🙂
But how can we stay cool and chill despite the hustle and bustle of our daily lives? What to do now in this very heated weather of the summer season?
Good thing last week I was one of the fortunate ones to be invited to the launching of Sosro Fruit Tea’s new flavor. It was held at the cool and posh Palace Pool Club.
I missed blogging bigtime! 🙂 Since I was super busy these past 2 weeks. I committed myself attend an event just once a week or once in two weeks since I also need time to buy gifts, wrap them all, deliver them to my friends and of course read up on those books on my to read list and also catch up on my much needed zzzz’s and so that I do not get stuck with so much blog backlog 🙂
Anyway, just last week I was invited over to have some drinks and listen to some good music over dinner at SOMA Bistro Cafe in Green Sun Hotel. Since the time was after work which was around 7pm I decided to give it a go especially since I personally know the PR behind this 🙂
With the advent of E- Commerce gaining such traction in this digital age, the possibilities are endless.
Gone were the days wherein we would have to impatiently stand in the long queues and wait in line until it is our turn to purchase for our new dress or those new pumps we have been eyeing on for quite some time now. Today my dear friends convenience is the key! 🙂
Blogapalooza is the biggest event of the year for brands and bloggers alike as this will be their avenue to cascade their services to each other. Brands would be given a platform to tell us about what their product is all about and in turn we would get acquainted with their products after having tried it out and cascade our own experience with their products to our readers as well so that in a way they might be encouraged to try it out as well.
