Motherhood changes you, that is a FACT. Not only does it change your weight and your body, but it also changes your perspective and how you look at things on a day to day.
3 years ago, being a newly minted mom, I had zero knowledge of being a mom, I was like a deer caught in the headlights even though I had read parenting books and even listened to podcasts as to how to handle your baby and navigate being a first-time mom, it’s actually different once you are in that situation already.
From being intentional in choosing the right products for my baby, ensuring that these are all safe and free of allergens that might cause an allergic reaction to my son, to consistently taking up vitamins and pre-natal supplements which would help me foster his cognitive development.
It was a good thing that I had 2 moms ( my mom and MIL) who helped me through this journey and shed some light on this experience, they were the ones who guided me on how to properly bathe, care and manage my newborn and now toddler so that they can grow up to be healthy and happy children someday.
I might still not have all the know-how and it is still a learning process for me up to this very day but I know that I can only get better with time since I constantly try to improve myself by listening to the wisdom of the years or the advice from my elders, trying to adjust my parenting style to also consider what my child wants and consistently networking with other like-minded mom’s who only want the best for their little ones.
Last week, I was fortunate to be invited in the opening of the Diving Expo held in the grounds of Megamall 🙂 Various indigenous dances were performed and different booths all had their fair share of attractions and very affordable rates so there’s no excuse for you to pass up on this chance of diving deep into the blue, salty ocean waters and discover all the aquatic wonders that our might reefs and seas hold 🙂 Yey! 🙂 I am so excited for this since the inner wanderlust in me screams to be free and again embark on another exciting adventure! 🙂 Here’s a little backgrounder on this Expo if you’re wondering what it holds for you guys! 🙂
I love weekend duty days since I can pull in a few more minutes of sleep due to the improved traffic conditions along the lanes of c5 and also since less people are out on the road in the wee hours of the early morning. I have a lot of back log with regards to the restaurants that I have gone along this week and the various food trips that I ventured into.
We first went off scouring the various stalls in the HoReCa festival last week in celebration of the Hotel, Restaurant and Catering event which promotes camaraderie and also which provides an avenue for the various businesses, catering joints, restaurants and hotels around the vicinity of Makati to plug and advertise their services and entice people to their stalls and avail of their packages and deals since their goal is to increase traffic and people coming in to their businesses to make Makati a rising district once again. 😀 Go Makati! 😀
