There was a time in my life wherein I had the liberty of time to write until the wee hours of the morning about my late night thoughts and my recent jaunts and food discoveries. I guess, some things just took precedence in the past few months as my love for blogging took a backseat as I can only write during my spare time.
However, as much as I can and when my schedule permits I still grace events once in a while especially if it interests me. So when Richie from The Pickiest Eater invited me to try out the new dishes of Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque in Megamall a few weeks back, without hesitation I immediately said YES.
After finishing off some emails and while waiting for my UBER ride I tried to research on the background of this joint that I would go to. I have read that it originally came from NYC and is actually one of the best-rated BBQ restaurants in New York City.
This restaurant opened its doors to our contrymen when it opened its doors last December 2016. Behind this worthy initiative is the Standard Hospitality Group which is actually the same group behind Yabu and Ipuddo.
I’m back! Feels so good to be back in the blogging world after taking a hiatus for a couple of weeks. I’m really sorry that I don’t get to update my blog more often due to the other pressing priorities which calls my attention but I promise to post at least once or twice a month once again to regale you with the latest happenings in my life. 🙂
So before I veer off topic again, let me first regale you with my recent adventure in the pristine shores of El Nido 🙂
In trying to catch up with my backlog with regards to my blogging duties I decided to post at least 3 write ups today to make up for the last few days that I wasn’t able to post. Since I will be fully booked for the next coming few weeks with a lot of events lining up my calendar, two shoots along the way, school papers to peruse and submit and also work duties to attend to.
So here goes another one: Last night, due to the constant downpour and the heavy congestion we decided to while away the time and just have dinner and catch the premiere night of Annabelle the movie.
“What started off as a family pastime for a mother and daughter tandem has now developed into a full fledged bakery café business with the aim of satisfying our customers’ cravings for traditional home cooked meals and fresh out of the oven pastries and baked goodies.”
I got this from their website. Since it’s quite a rare occasion that all four of us are together on a weekend (Me, Mom, Krizel and Mikey) because I usually have work on the weekends or Mom has a trip out of town due to work. We decided to head out after much resting at home to bond and beautify ourselves. 🙂 Mom had her hair washed and colored while my sister had her nails treated to a posh manicure while my baby brother had his hair trimmed since he was bored with watching all of us girls pampering ourselves and he was left to his own devices to entertain himself. (Haha! Sorry Mikey that’s one of the perks of living in a household full of girls).
