We live in a fast paced world and with it comes a multitude of events, meetings, deadlines and passions to pursue. Sometimes all we need is a breather and a breath of fresh air to unwind and to ready ourselves for another grueling week ahead! 🙂
But how can we stay cool and chill despite the hustle and bustle of our daily lives? What to do now in this very heated weather of the summer season?
Good thing last week I was one of the fortunate ones to be invited to the launching of Sosro Fruit Tea’s new flavor. It was held at the cool and posh Palace Pool Club.
Well hello there! 😀 It seems that my day off from work is already coming to a close and tomorrow is another brand new working day! 😀 Whohoo! 😀 Which entails that I must hit the sack soon to catch up on my much well deserved R&R but before I do that I will post another one of our recent food trips to decrease my blogging back log and also to share with you my experience about this new joint we tried. Woot Woot! 😀
So moving on, since I had work that day P and I decided to meet up at the Fort and have dinner since I was also going to drop by the Fort after work because I would have my hair trimmed for a few inches (chop, chop) and also get my well deserved pampering session since I recently received a coupon from David’s Salon which entitles me to a haircut with a free massage and hot oil for only 300 bucks 😀 Cool right?
So to make the most of this opportunity I decided to avail of it. Thank you to our sponsors 😀 Yey! 😀 The other day I got a free make up session/ free make over from Wet and Wild cosmetics along with their talented Hair and Make Up artists :D. Meanwhile my friends Kat and Jallin got their nails painted in a very vibrant pink tone. 😀
I haven’t updated my blog for about 5 days already due to my continuous working days and also balancing this with some readings for school, jogging around the grounds of the Fort and mostly focusing on nourishing myself and becoming a better version of myself by reading some self help materials, opinion pages in the newspaper and also by being more conscious with the food that I intend to intake. I try to eat more healthier now by adding more of the greens, more fruits and less of the rice and carbohydrates in my meals.
Another food trip down memory lane, in this case down the Bonifacio High Street Lane. We came across this new joint which happened to be a brainchild of Senator Pia Cayetano called “Slice” it advocates healthy dishes (Except for their desserts) perhaps since she is a triathlete on the side, one of the many hats she wears.
Since we all wanted to try something new and have an ultimate adventure we decided to embark on another new thing. Guess what? We decided to climb a mountain in Antipolo. But it wasn’t just an ordinary climb, it was actually a trail run wherein you have to conquer various obstacles like some trees, the muddy slopes, the rocky formations, pass over the falls, cross some rivers and just have a great time while running since there was a time limit to the runners.
Looking for a good Chinese restaurant along the posh streets of the Fort? Well look no more because we just discovered this new Dining place at the Fort which offers your favorite Chinese dishes. Me and the girls decided to embark on another food trip on Saturday night and we came across this joint so we decided to give it a try.
Good Times is the place to go for entertainment, a cigar, beers, or a bite with your buddies after work, after a movie, during a hot date, or just because you wanna go out on a nice day. This is certainly a centrist joint, a community-oriented spot, a place with something for everyone.
I was always intrigued by what this restaurant had to offer since we usually pass by it whenever we have some catch up sessions with my friends along the Fort. However, I have never dined in there before since I usually see empty chairs and not a lot of traffic coming in to their store. So yesterday since it was a holiday. (Thanks Ninoy!) and since most establishments were closed or open only for a limited time only we decided to give this Chinese joint a try.
This is a follow up post in relation to my other post regarding the Sweet Pea Restaurant. Me and my girlfriends decided to venture out again into another food trip so we ended up in this swell place called Big Bad Wolf.
We heard that this was a new joint which recently opened in Mckinley Hill (Disclaimer: This is a late post since we ate there almost 2 years ago way back in 2012). I’m just blogging about it now since I would also like to commemorate all those past food trips and ventures I had before with my friends. Continue reading “New Find of the week: Big Bad Wolf”
How time really flies! 🙂 Do you ever catch yourself staring blankly in the air sometimes and just recall what did you do all those years while you were growing up? or what were the series of events which led to where you are now? As I look back at those good old fun times I cannot help but feel a little nostalgic reminiscing those memories and food trips I had back then with my girls.
Those were the days when we could just laugh to our hearts delight and eat all the pounds away with our gregarious food trips and adventures when all of us except Pilar were single and just wanted to have a grand time. Since I just recently got into the habit of blogging I decided to post all of my past food trips and adventures also here because like our mantra in life: Memories should all be documented, not forgotten.
