They said that nothing great ever comes out from being easy and that good things never came out of comfort zones. The past few days, I have been feeling a little under the weather, it’s like all my motivation to carry on has been lost and went out the window. Maybe it’s because we constantly compare ourselves despite not really meaning to, to what we see on social. People buying this and that at such a young age. Achieving that house, that car and getting to do whatever it is that they want any time of the day. That’s why I decided to just unfollow those accounts for my mental sanity.
That said, I’ll just be focusing on my own personal journey and keep on doing whatever it is that makes me happy which is writing, reading, spending time with people who are closest to me and working on my passion project which is coming up with personalized items and opening up a small scale tea place in the province.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, that’s what they always say right? However, with the constant pressure of the times. The expectations for us women are very high, people expect us to maintain a good career for us to carry our own weight and not be dependent on anybody for our daily needs or luxuries. They also expect us to be good daughters to our parents, to have a good education, to be a loving Mom to our kids and to be a good spouse and yet to top it all -off society expects us to look good on the outside and feel good on the inside.
It’s already the second quarter of the year! I can’t believe time flies so fast, soon it will already be 2018 and another new adventure is about to commence but before I get ahead of myself once again and digress from the topic let me first recount one of my recent jaunts this week wherein I finally found a cure/ a treatment for my chronic lower back pain which had been a perennial problem for me since time immemorial cause its been bothering me for way too long 🙂
It’s almost the half of the year already. Hello May! 🙂 I guess you really lose track of the time especially if your busy. The first half of the year for me had been quite fruitful from finishing my MBA degree to attending family reunions since my uncles from the States came home after a long time to balancing work duties with my events.
Looking forward to many more changes in the coming months, now that I am officially done with my school I’m pondering on where to spend my spare time. Either I would consider teaching as a part time Professor in my Alma Matter to share my knowledge or go back to school and take up another degree or maybe attend more events and build on my online portfolio and pursue my hobby 🙂
Nonetheless, amidst all of these one thing is for sure I would still continue on attending events maybe not as often anymore since I’m also dabbling into other things as of the moment but for sure I would try to spare time for my hobby 🙂 With that being said, let me recount the recent foodie event I attended in Burger King where they introduced their new King 🙂 Read on to find out how it all boiled down 🙂
It’s December once again! How time flies, another productive year filled with peaks and valleys along the way. A lot has transpired for me this year from coming our of my comfort zone to meeting new people from various walks of life. From finally getting a good grasp on my goals and setting my priorities straight and as I slowly navigate my way through this labyrinth called life, I am again realizing that you can’t control everything and sometimes you just have to sit back, relax, go with flow and let life surprise you.
With that said, I am now quite preoccupied with a lot of things aside from finishing my paper for my thesis. Doing some last minute errands, turning over some files for work and of course doing my last minute shopping for those people dear to me.
It’s the season to be jolly! As November draws to a close and December looms in soon with the flurry of Christmas songs on repeat in the crowded malls. It’s the Christmas season once again! 🙂
So for all those people out there who aren’t feeling the Christmas spirit just yet like me we can all change our moods by doing some of our much needed Christmas shopping and mark it as done in our to- do list.
For other people shopping is therapeutic, it gives them a sense of escape from the bustling metropolis filled with stress and Corporate hurdles. However, for other people who don’t really have the luxury of time even though they want to shop until they drop here’s another alternative for you to complete your Christmas shopping in the confines and comfort of your own home with just a click of your finger. Introducing “DigiMall”
I can’t believe another week had already gone by so quickly! With the BER Months ushering in a season of festivities and yuletide cheers its now time to get dressed and to be impressed with the various OOTD’s and outfits that will surely be the staples of fashion stores and retail outlets nationwide. I wonder what my dress will be for this year’s Halloween party? or maybe this year’s Christmas Party? Time to get those fresh ideas going so I can don on the perfect dress come these next few months! 🙂
They say that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder right? So why do girls chase after those good looking modelesque guys with those taut 6 pack washboard abs 🙂 Why not go for those guys who have a great sense of humor? An Intelligent Mind with whom you can have intellectual discourses with and someone with that CONFIDENCE X Factor? 🙂
Before you even widen your eyes and ask yourself if you read it right, let’s clear one thing: “sakto” shouldn’t be taken as synonymous to “average.” Sure, average guys are still capable of attracting certain girls, but the truth is most women aren’t satisfied with the basics. Men being merely pogi isn’t that exciting for them anymore either. “We want more!” 🙂 Comes the clamor of more and more women of this generation.
It has been a whirlwind of events for me the past few weeks since I made it a point that this year will be the year that I would go out of my comfort zone and widen my horizons. Guess it’s time to face my fears 🙂
Since I have always been an extroverted person by nature, going to various events had always been I guess second nature to me however due to time and financial constraints adventures and travels were kinda put on hold or limited to just one or two travels per year 🙂
However since I’m almost on my last stretch of my schooling now and my weekends are mostly free now I have already started embarking on some milestones and adventures these past few weeks 🙂
Last Wednesday I was invited by Ms. Rowena from Animetric’s World to the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati where an event hosted by Henessy will be showcased. I wasn’t quite keen on that place so I decided to Waze it first before heading out to Ateneo to attend our Forum and also my class 🙂 hehe. (Side trip first) 🙂
