I didn’t have much in mind last Sunday, just maybe give my car a good clean wax and wash and at the same time get it vacuumed on the inside since it’s been like ages since I had it car washed because I usually just do it at home or I give our house help some money for cleaning my car every morning before I head out for work.
So anyway, we were planning to go out of town last Sunday and perhaps have some relaxing coffee in Tagaytay and just enjoy the breeze and the ambiance of the place. However, since Pat was quite lacking in sleep because he had dinner with my family and we had a movie night at my house afterwards we didn’t push through with it.
Since it was Pat’s birthday and I wanted to make his day memorable. I planned to mount a series of surprises for him which I couldn’t have done without the help of those closest to him. Thanks to his older sister Ate Niz for helping me with the video clips from their family, to David one of his closest friends for helping me gather up his friends at his crib and letting me surprise Pat by taking him off guard at a very unexpected moment and also to Ms. Ness from Kulinarya for helping me mount the romantic candlelit dinner to cap off the night.
For the first surprise, I managed to be a little “sneaky” and decided to connive with his older sister in creating a video presentation which contained all our photos from the 1st time we met with some clips in between of his family’s message and also one video we had at Yabu. I posted this on June 20,2014 (Sunday in the afternoon) on my Facebook which I tagged him. He was utterly surprised to see that I made something like this sort since I am not really that techie person unlike him. But what touched me, was that he appreciated the effort I put into creating the video.
In all our food trips and joint ventures we have never eaten in a hole in a wall restaurant I must say so this one is something new for me. However, this is by so far was worth all my hesitations about the place. Pat was really good with locating some of the most elusive but very good dining places around the metropolis and since we just came from a relaxing massage, we decided to make the most of the night and satiate our hunger pangs at Rub Ribs.
This is a follow up post to my previous post about our UST event which transpired from 11am-4pm. We met up around 9am to do some final touches on our props and also gave some allowance for our travel time. After the event we were so exhausted and I wanted to do something relaxing. (Massages always gave me that fuzzy, warm and relaxing feeling after a long and tiring day). So I suggested to Pat that we try out this massage place at E.Rod since it’s quite near to their place so it’s quite convenient for him and less of a hassle.
We came across this massage spa called “Body Delight” where we availed of their packages since they had a promo for 599 which was inclusive of a whole body massage, an ear candling session and also a hot stone massage. Pat wasn’t really a fan of massages but he stayed there with me and decided to have a spot massage instead wherein they target various parts of your body where you feel you’re most stressed. (I think he had a head massage and a foot reflexology massage). Thanks Love for sticking it our with me throughout the whole thing 🙂 hehe.
We really wanted to pursue the Yabu restaurant way way back since before because we were intrigued of the long queue outside the outlet. However, when we inquired we were logged at number 8 on their waiting list which was no good for us since we were both starving already and I needed to get home in a short while since I still have work the next day so we ended up eating in another restaurant at RobMag.
Good thing, the next time we visited the joint, it wasn’t that full and we were accommodated immediately to our seats. Since it was just the two of us, it was easy for the waiters to squeeze us in. We ordered their Tonkatsu Set (I had their non-fat pork tenderloin set). Stop pretending! :P) haha. (I was feeling healthy for a while there since it had no fat. hehe).
Since class was about to start in a couple of minutes we decided to grab ourselves a quick fix so we went to Pepper lunch since I haven’t really eaten up here before since the last time we were here. Pat was the only one eating and he just gave me some servings of his meal which ended up him splitting his meal into two. Sorry Babe 🙂 Told you I wasn’t hungry.
Their operating hours are from Monday to Sunday at 11am- 10 pm I think. Their meals are quite okay prices range from 200- 500 pesos. At Pepper Lunch diners get to cook their own food over a patented electromagnetic plate that is heated up to 260 degrees Celsius within one minute. Choice cuts of beef, chicken, pork and salmon are served with rice and vegetables for guests to cook and season using flavors of teriyaki, onion sauce, honey brown sauce (Amakuchi) or garlic soy sauce (Karakuchi)—and that dash of freshly ground pepper to give you that delicious, flavor-filled meal.
I used to think that the concept of time before was so lame. That I had all the time in the world to grow up when I was a kid, that I would forever be a kid but then again I guess we mature also at some point in our lives and we realize that we weren’t that little girl you used to be anymore. Still cute but not that little anymore. Hihi. 🙂
It’s been almost a year already since Pat and I became acquainted with one another and the more time I spend with him, the more he seems to fascinate me with his wide array of knowledge on various topics. You can talk to him about anything and everything under the sweltering sun and he’s sure to have a reply and won’t come empty handed with answers.
Since one of our paradigms in life is that: Memories should be documented not forgotten entirely. Me and Pat decided to build a business exuding just that motto, so what better way to document and immortalize your memories than to have your photos taken at any event that you will go.
