I have always believed in having a healthy work life balance. Simply put, you also have a life outside your work. That’s why I always list down my goals in my planner and keep tabs on it once in a while to ensure that I am making progress on my goals.
So far I guess I am on the right track since aside from working in my 9-5 job on a daily basis after work I usually go to the gym and ensure that I eat right, meaning I include more veggies and healthy options in my staple diet nowadays. Aside from that, I get to attend events again as much as my time permits and I am also entertaining other speaking engagements in the coming months. So before I get all consumed up once again in how my life had been these past few weeks let me recount first one of the foodie invites I went to just last week in Megamall. 🙂
I love the weekends and other new experiences! Not only does it give us a fresh take on things and a brand new perspective in life on a general note it also energizes our spirit. I love the weekends since you can relax, unwind and do your other recreational activities to feed your mind, body and soul which you cannot normally pay attention to during the course of the week since it is filled with meetings here and there and loads of other pertinent stuff to do.
So without further ado, here’s what I’ve been up to the past few weeks. 🙂
I just recently attended the pre- pageant night for the Bb. Pilipinas 2015 contenders at the Araneta stadium. It was definitely fun watching 34 of the most beautiful ladies in our land walk down the runway in their very own national costumes. Despite vying for one crown as the grand winner everyone was very amicable and all smiles as the cameras took their photos.
We also attended the wedding of P’s childhood friend Jobert who tied the knot just recently at the Sanctuario De San Jose parish with his beautiful long time girlfriend Gianna.
I was fortunate to be invited along with a few other bloggers to have a “Food Tasting” session at Ryu Ramen located in the SM Jazz Mall along the confines of Makati. I had school later that day in Rockwell so good thing that it was so close by. Yey! 🙂
I came in quite late actually since I was caught up in the traffic along the way but good thing I still managed to arrive there before they ended. I just asked from Sir Ross from Wazzup Pilipinas if I could share their food photos since when I came in most of the Ramen Bowls were already half eaten and consumed. He gladly helped me out and also briefed me in on what I missed during their lunch. Yey! 🙂 Thank you! 😀
Moving on, we were tasked to just sit back, relax and enjoy the taste of the various Ramen bowls that we were served.
I was already up and about at 8am in the morning last Saturday August 30,2014 since our Freshman Orientation was about to take place in school and in the afternoon I eventually ended up helping in facilitating the games for the newbies by standing as one of their Marshals in their Amazing Race contest.
It’s always a refreshing twist whenever there are games like these which get your mind thinking, your adrenalin pumping and your people skills working. When I had my orientation seminar in the afternoon 2 semesters ago we had this cheer leading contest wherein you had to make a hymn and also make up customized lyrics depicting how proud you are to be an Atenean: A Blue Eagle geared toward soaring to greater heights, we managed to eventually produce and execute a song and dance number to the tune of Pitch Perfect’s: I Saw the Sign. We also made some balloons in the shape of an eagle and our guy team mates lifted off one of our classmates who played the role of our eagle.
This is a late post upload detailing our food trip last Thursday in Tomas Morato after our Photobooth Event in Trinity wherein our OB- Gynecology doctors from St. Lukes decided to hire us to cover their Zumba event. Looks like they had a lot of fun playing around with our hand made props and also taking turns queueing in our photo booth.
Thank you for choosing us St. Lukes (OB- Gynecology Department) also in coordination with our Marketing team.. More events to come and more note worthy memories to come.
