If you’ve been an avid reader of my blog since way back 2014 you would know that I am always on the lookout for new massage places and spas since after a long and tedious week after work we also deserve to pamper ourselves by relaxing and unwinding.
Some people do this by watching movies with their SO’s or friends while others like me prefer to lie down and have my whole body kneaded and have the knots in my muscles loosened up by deep probing long strokes of my masseuse. So imagine the flicker of light again in my eyes when I received another invite from Aldous, this time around it wasn’t to try out a new food joint but to try out the services of this newly opened spa along the confines of Pasong Tamo.
Of course, I confirmed my attendance immediately and turned on to Waze to check out where this place was exactly located. Since I wasn’t really familiar with the South area I decided to book an Uber instead, that way it would be faster for me to get there since I assumed that the Uber driver should know better than me with regards to the location of the place and it would lessen my tension since I wouldn’t be the one behind the wheel amidst the traffic in the streets.
Last week I received an invite in my email regarding an event to be held at the Goldland Building in Greenhills at around 1:30pm onwards. Since I had class that day and our finals are coming up soon I texted Ms. Wayne ( Their Chief Marketing Officer) that I would come in late due to my class. She said it was okay so after my class I braved the congested roads of Edsa once again excited at another new opportunity to make new friends and learn about this company called Pro Young since I wasn’t really keen on the brand.
My schedule is running like crazy these past few weeks so I have to slow down and unwind once in a while or else everything would go haywire and I would not be able to deliver on time with all my pressing demands. 😦
Last Saturday I was invited to attend the Blessing of the Nailogy Spa and Salon located in Pasig at the Ground Floor of the SM Supercenter in Brgy Ugong Pasig City (Beside Tiendisitas). Good thing traffic wasn’t as bad during that day that I was able to navigate my way there in 20 minutes tops! 🙂 Yey! 🙂
Looking for a relaxing respite in the heart of the city despite the burgeoning noise, pollution and stress the metropolis has to offer?
We get it, everyone is stressed with the recent demographics stating that people are more career driven nowadays and that everyone is rushing on a day to day basis. With endless paperworks, deadlines and pressure as we all struggle to climb the corporate ladder to success sooner or later we will all be burned out and will need to slow down, breathe the fresh air that we once had and bask in a tropical retreat like environment to recharge and de-stress ourselves.
Since today is my rest day I will get back to blogging on some new movies I watched over the past week, new joints I visited and also some articles which caught my attention these days because aside from it being my creative outlet I also have fun jotting down and sharing my ideas and experiences to others as well.
So here goes. Since I love getting myself massages even during my college days I usually search for new and affordable massage places and invite my friends or my Mom to have a massage session with me once in a while. We also need to have a breather and a break from the daily pressures of work and our other extra-curricula that we do on a daily basis so what better way to unwind than to have a hearty meal and some good old massage to target your pressure points right? 😀 It will definitely make you feel rejuvenated afterwards. Some of the Spa’s I have tried before are: Wensha Spa in Manila, The Spa in Acropolis/ Corinthian Hills, Ton Ton Traditional Thai Massage, Body Delight Spa and others I cannot remember since I was already too tired to take note or maybe too overwhelmed with the massage.
This is a follow up post to my previous post about our UST event which transpired from 11am-4pm. We met up around 9am to do some final touches on our props and also gave some allowance for our travel time. After the event we were so exhausted and I wanted to do something relaxing. (Massages always gave me that fuzzy, warm and relaxing feeling after a long and tiring day). So I suggested to Pat that we try out this massage place at E.Rod since it’s quite near to their place so it’s quite convenient for him and less of a hassle.
We came across this massage spa called “Body Delight” where we availed of their packages since they had a promo for 599 which was inclusive of a whole body massage, an ear candling session and also a hot stone massage. Pat wasn’t really a fan of massages but he stayed there with me and decided to have a spot massage instead wherein they target various parts of your body where you feel you’re most stressed. (I think he had a head massage and a foot reflexology massage). Thanks Love for sticking it our with me throughout the whole thing 🙂 hehe.
Since we both had no classes last night and I got off at work at around 6pm, we were supposed to jog around the Fort since were beginning to advocate a healthier lifestyle. However due to the heavy downpour we did not push through with jogging and instead headed out to SM Aura to eat dinner and try something new in their newly opened restaurants at the 5th floor Sky Garden.
We were supposed to eat at the NBA Cafe on the 5th floor of SM Aura however, we were dissuaded when there were no photos in their Menu and also their food was mostly composed of burgers and snacks. We saw the long queue outside “Lugang Cafe” and since our curiosity got the best of us, we decided to see what was all the fuss about and made the waitress reserve us a table.
