BALANCE. In life and in love I believe that everything hinges and revolves around this concept because if you lose your balance then everything goes awry. There are various aspects of our lives that we should learn to even out despite our busy schedules or else we would be too consumed up with just one aspect of our life and in grave cases it might lead to over fatigue and burn out.
That is why as much as possible on weekends, whenever I have my days off. I try to venture out to pursue my passion which is discovering new food joints and embarking on various adventures and writing it down on my blog. With that said, last week I was invited over by Cate to cover the soft opening of Big D’s in Venice Piazza Mckinley. Read on to check how everything went on that day.
When one speak of steaks, it usually creates a lot of excitement because it is hard to find good steaks, and most of the time they are expensive. Then comes Sear, the newest steakhouse in Banawe. To be honest, I wasn’t really keen on this place since it just opened and I don’t really frequent Banawe since it’s quite far from where I live and work. But upon hearing that their speciality was STEAK and with a vast array of other mouth watering gastronomic delights as their other food offerings I just knew in my heart that I was SOLD! 🙂
Since both our classes came to a close and since we wanted a good night cap before heading home we decided to eat to our heart’s content at Mamou. I have heard a lot of reviews about this place and my cousin even said that their steak was one of the best he has ever tasted so we wanted to try out the place and what they had to offer.
The waiter took notice that I was taking some photos of their Menu and he asked if I wanted a copy of their Menu. He was nice enough to hand me over a photocopied menu of their specialties so I wouldn’t have to contend with the hassle of taking various shots of their Menu. (Plus points for the service!).
Since school is officially back again in my calendar! I had to catch up on my readings and do some home works already. Goodbye again social life! Hello to another three months of lectures, group works, late night brainstorming sessions with a cup of black coffee in one hand to keep me awake until the wee hours of the night and a bag of chips on another hand to help me think while I’m typing my report on my laptop.
I was feeling a bit quite under the weather lately, perhaps it’s the increased congestion on the roads every single morning when I wake up or perhaps it’s the fluctuating weather conditions. Whatever it is, nothing can put me into a good mood again than having a hearty meal while conversing about our due papers with P.
We headed off to the ground floor of Powerplant Mall inside Rustans to look for the Gourmet to Go.
This is one of those throwback posts from 2 years ago. How time really flies when you’re having fun! 😀 One of us already got hitched just barely two months ago. Next thing you’ll know everyone will be talking about wedding bells, kids and all those family stuff that usually concerns grown ups. 😀
Treasure each passing day because time flies by so quickly you won’t know where all those time had gone by the time you reach 50. Laugh like there’ no tomorrow, take risks, love with all your heart and embark on awesome and breath taking adventures with your friends because you only have one life to live so better make the most out of it. I especially love my off days since I’m able to catch up on my writing. 😀
After watching the movie called Sex Tape we were starving already since it was kind of late already so we just charged my laptop somewhere, bought some necessities for home and then decided to have dinner somewhere nearby but also budget friendly. (Thanks for thinking about my budgetary constraints Love)
To be honest, we had quite a hard time finding the place despite it being just behind Rockwell since we didn’t really explore into hole in the wall joints. We just heard this was a good place to eat and people were queueing up to be served. This joint is located at 5887 Fermina Street, Corner Enriquez Street, Kalayaan Avenue, Poblacion, Makati City to be specfic.
I had work last Sunday after our Marketing Finals last Saturday followed by a Fellowship dinner at our Professor’s place in Bel- Air Makati. Thanks for being so hospitable Sir! 😀 I think I had a drink too many or maybe I easily just get too “woozy” after downing some liquor since we were so happy that this term is finally over and we were to start anew. Whohoo! Three cheers to that!
Yey! We are actually nearing finishing off our MBA’s! 😀 Whohoo! 🙂 Well, that’s for those who have only a few subjects left, as for me. I still have a year to go before I graduate since I have only completed around 20 plus units or so and a lot more to go but of course as early as now I have to carefully plan my thesis already so that I won’t stress myself out too much when my Strama comes. (School and Work is sometimes hard to balance especially when you also have a lot of stuff on your plate too like me). So I’m not really rushing just taking my time and just doing the best I can.
In all our food trips and joint ventures we have never eaten in a hole in a wall restaurant I must say so this one is something new for me. However, this is by so far was worth all my hesitations about the place. Pat was really good with locating some of the most elusive but very good dining places around the metropolis and since we just came from a relaxing massage, we decided to make the most of the night and satiate our hunger pangs at Rub Ribs.
I used to think that the concept of time before was so lame. That I had all the time in the world to grow up when I was a kid, that I would forever be a kid but then again I guess we mature also at some point in our lives and we realize that we weren’t that little girl you used to be anymore. Still cute but not that little anymore. Hihi. 🙂
It’s been almost a year already since Pat and I became acquainted with one another and the more time I spend with him, the more he seems to fascinate me with his wide array of knowledge on various topics. You can talk to him about anything and everything under the sweltering sun and he’s sure to have a reply and won’t come empty handed with answers.
